The scent doesn't last...no staying power
I had used this for over 10 years and absolutely loved it. It was my signature fragrance and I received many compliments. Love this!! A true vanilla perfume!!
This smells soooo good! If you love a true vanilla perfume, you will love this! Warm Cashmere and Soft Velvet are my absolute faves from the Fresh Cream collection and I get compliments allll the time! I said the same thing in my Soft Velvet review, but this and Soft Velvet are deceptively long lasting. I always think it disappears after wearing it for a while, but I still get compliments throughout the day. It's one of those perfumes that you may get used to after wearing for a while, but other people still smell you! Also, this this layered with Soft Velvet smells divine!! If layering is your thing, definitely give those two a try! My only gripe is that the bottles only come in a 2.0 fl oz size 😭 I need a larger bottle with how fast I go through these!!
If you love gourmands, you'd love this!!
My favorite perfumes from philosophy are the Soft Velvet and the Warm Cashmere from the "Fresh Cream" collection, but I had never smelled Fresh Cream itself. This was a blind buy for me and while I do like it, I don't wear it on it's own. I love layering either with Soft Velvet or Warm Cashmere because on it's own, it smells too much like food - literally smells like a bakery lol! The best way I can describe it is that when you first spray it, you immediately get a strong alcohol smell but it dries down to a very sweet, vanilla scent. It kind of smells like vanilla cake, or cookies, or a sweet smelling cereal (which makes sense with the notes of frosting). If you love gourmands, you will love this perfume! This would've been a 4 star, but I gave it 3 starts because of the strong alcohol smell when you first spray it, which I don't get with the others in this collection. But I don't dislike this perfume. It's not my personal fave, but it's still wearable when I layer it with other stuff. I love the sweetness and depth it gives other perfumes when layering!

This soft vanilla sort of musky smell is not for everybody. It sort of reminds me of Christmas cookies, but it is perfect for me.
