I began wearing this fragrance years ago. When I retired 10 years ago, I quit buying/wearing it. Fast forward to now, decided to get another bottle. Specifically came to this site to ensure the real fragrance. It's definitely different than the original. Maybe they make minuscule changes over the years to accommodate availability of sources. Anyway, it's missing something that gave it the irresistible originality of the original recipe. It's missing that musky smell that lasts forever. This fragrance just purchased doesn't last and doesn't smell the same. If you really know the original scent, you'll notice. If you are new to this scent, you most likely will not be disappointed. It is a nice fragrance, just didn't meet my expectations
