So i have been using this for over a week now including the acne clearing serum. I started breaking out worse around my jaw. I heard that starting a new skin care routine can break you out, but is it normal for this product and should i keep using it and wait for results?

I bought this product with the hopes of it clearing up my "maskne"(acne caused by wearing a face mask), as I have heard people call it. I had my face super clear from stubborn acne due to a combination of good birth control, a healthy diet, and less stress. Now that I have to wear a mask during work and regular shopping trips, I have developed acne along my chin, cheeks, and jawline. I wash my masks daily with a fragrance-free detergent, and I never wear the same mask two days in a row. Even with the precautions I am taking, I was breaking out horribly. I did some research and saw that salicylic acid helps with breakouts due to bacteria on the skins surface. I am most definitely positive that it is acne caused by bacteria. I went to my local store and purchased this product as well as the Clinique treatment gel. I can't express how happy I am to know that my skin is clearing up wonderfully and hopefully I will be back to normal soon! I am so self-conscious about my face and especially now with the breakouts, but I have hope that in a couple of days my "maskne" will be gone! Side note: it has helped with my stubborn blackheads on my nose that never want to just go away. Also, a quick tip... MAKE SURE YOU USE MOISTURIZER!!! If you opt-out of the moisturizer, your skin can become super dry and cause an even worse breakout. I have combination-oily and I make sure to lather on the moisturizer because it does leave my skin feeling tight right after I wash my face.
