Should this be used before or after other Anua serums like the Nicinamide, Azelaic, and PDRN + Hyaluron?
- Asked by Layering
- Official Answer By Anua - Brand EngageThank you for reaching out and for your interest in our 7 Rice Ceramide Hydrating Barrier Serum. You may use this after active serums (Niacinamide, Azelaic, PDRN + Hyaluron) and before moisturizer. It works best as a barrier-strengthening step to seal in previous treatments. - Q
Should this go on before, after, or instead of other products like moisturizing lotion? What about actives like AHAs/BHAs, retinol, or vitamin C, could those products be layered with this, and if so, should they go under or over this barrier serum?
- Asked by 4-Course-skincare
- Official Answer By Anua - Brand EngageThank you for reaching out to us. The 7 Rice Ceramide Hydrating Barrier Serum should be applied after toning and before heavier moisturizers or lotions. It can be used with actives like AHAs/BHAs, retinol, or vitamin C. Apply your actives first, allow them to absorb, and then layer the barrier serum on top to help lock in hydration and support your skin’s moisture balance. We hope this helps, and please let us know if you have any other questions. Was this answer helpful to you
- Q
Will this help with breakouts? Thanks!!
- Asked by Beautiful
- Official Answer By Anua - Brand EngageThank you for reaching out with your question. The 7 Rice Ceramide Hydrating Barrier Serum is formulated to hydrate, soothe, and support the skin’s barrier. While it is not specifically targeted as an acne treatment, by strengthening the skin barrier and maintaining balanced hydration, it may help create a healthier environment for skin that is prone to breakouts. If your main concern is active breakouts, we would be happy to learn more about your skin’s needs and suggest products that are more directly formulated for acne care. If you have any further questions or need additional information, please do not hesitate to contact us. We’re always happy to assist you.Was this answer helpful to you
- Q
Can I use this if I have acne prone skin and I have acne scars? Can I mix this in with Vitamin C?
- Asked by Banana Tornado

The 7 Rice Ceramide Hydrating Barrier Serum is a hydrating serum designed to moisturize and nourish the skin, leaving it looking glowy. As with any product, results may vary depending on individual skin type and condition. We recommend introducing it gradually into your routine and observing how your skin responds, especially when combining with other active ingredients such as Vitamin C. Should you have any questions or need further assistance in the meantime, feel free to reach out - we’re happy to help. Was this answer helpful to you
- Q
Is it non comedogenic? Will it break you out?
- Asked by Brooke
- Official Answer By Anua - Brand EngageWe understand your concern about breakouts. At this time, we have not conducted specific testing to certify that the 7 Rice Ceramide Hydrating Barrier Serum is non-comedogenic. However, it has been carefully formulated with skin-friendly ingredients and is EWG Green certified, making it suitable for most skin types, including sensitive skin. Since skin responses can vary, we recommend a patch test before full use to ensure compatibility with your skin. good
I am very happy to receive this product and try it. I have seen this brand many times on Facebook and websites but this is the first time I have experienced it. Overall, the product has a nice design and is easy to use. Each time I use it, I just need to clean the basic steps first and then take 1-2...

Incredible Lightweight Moisture!
This is the best hydrating serum I've ever used, even when compared to expensive luxury products. It absorbs well, but also leaves a protective barrier that strengthens skin. I love that it contains ceramides and arbutin - those are two of my favorite ingredients! The arbutin imparts a glow and the ceramides act as skin building blocks, making the product more hydrating. It floods mt skin with pasting moisture, even in the dry atmosphere of Colorado. The texture is beautiful - its kind of similar to snail mucin. This stuff leavesy skin so healthy and beautiful - its a must have!
Amazing. Barrier repair + clear/hydrated skin
This stuff is the best! I use it directly after my face wash (skin1004 ampoule foam) and before my moisturizer (La Roche Posay matte moisturizer or Dr. Althea 345 cream depending on the weather or Paula's Choice Daily Moisturizer SPF 50). Everthing listed works well together on my really oily skin. I dont even have excess oil anymore. These product combos work well under makeup too! I started using this after I had irritation from a chemical exfoliant. I swear I could see my skin getting healthier again after only 3-4 uses. I previously had trouble with redness and dryness on my cheeks, but now I don't! My makeup just glides on now.
Hydrating and soothing care
Earlier this year, I had to start using benzoyl peroxide to get my acne under control, which made my oily skin red, irritated, and flaky. I needed something super hydrating and soothing to counteract it, landed on this serum, and I'm so glad I did. It's thick but not sticky, super hydrating, and calmed my skin right down. I'm using it 2x daily along with a peptide serum, very happy with the results. This has earned a permanent spot in my skincare routine.
Hydrating
I came in to ulta about a week or so ago to pick up an order for my sister and decided to walk around not really expecting to buy anything. This caught my eye as it has hyaluronic acid and was much cheaper than what I usually use which is the Loreal Hyaluronic Acid. After only a week of use I've noticed my skin is much smoother and brighter. I'm honestly surprised and wish I switched to this sooner as it is a cheaper alternative to loreal which I've been using for around 2-3 year. It works just as well if not better than loreals hyaluronic acid and I 100% recommend it.
Yes I going to buy it again and again
Omg it's the best serum I ever use in a long time ,I love it so much
