 2-In-1 Shower Scalp Brush

I love in-shower scalp massage/exfoliation brushes, so to get one with an actual brush on the reverse side seems even better. The exfoliation side of this brush is good. The silicone 'fingers' are plenty long to reach the scalp even if you've thick, curly hair. There's no discomfort from hair getting tangled in or around these fingers while you use this brush to give your scalp some extra love. Having a handle on this makes it easier to use and reach places like the back of my scalp near my neck. For those with physical limitations in their upper body, this is a huge help. As for the brush side, it really could be better. Because this brush is dual sided, it cannot have any kind of slight curve to it as many brushes do to better fit the curve of your scalp. This keeps a lot of the bristles from making contact with your scalp. The bristles are alsomuch harder than the soft silicone fingers on the reverse side, and much denser. They seem to be solid plastic rather than silicone. My hair is long but thin, and I didn't get the snag-free performance I was hoping for from this brush side. I think it's due to the densely packed, pretty inflexible bristles. I also have a plain Wet Brush I use in the shower after conditioning my hair to help get all the snags and snarls out before I rinse. That brush's bristles are super flexible and quite spread out. I don't have to use a lot of pressure to get the brush through my hair like I do with this dual brush from Diane. Using the Diane brush takes about three times as long to untangle my hair compared to the Wet Brush under the same conditions. It also pulls (drags?) out a lot of the conditioner or mask on my hair compared to the Wet Brush, so I have to remember to only use it when I'm ready to rinse out my hair. I do however like how these denser bristles of the Diane brush hold on to any strands of hair I shed so I can keep them from clogging the drain. I think I'll keep this Diane 2-in-1 brush for travel use and keep using the Cricket Hapi So Clean Shampoo Brush in my home shower. Ulta no longer has it listed (bummer), but that brush is amazing for exfoliation, scalp massage, and rubbing in topical scalp treatments like Minoxidil. The brush head has a slight convex shape which means every single silicone point touches your head. You can move it in circles or side to aside or a combination of both and not worry that your hair will get tangled. It's very gentle, and the friend I bought one for to use on her baby's cradle cap loves it. So does the baby! She closes her eyes and makes happy humming noises until she falls asleep anytime someone uses this brush on her little head. I wish Ulta still carried it as it really is a supurbly better version of this Diane 2-in-1 brush.

i was looking for a shower brush to detangle my hair with. the brushes i had previous to purchasing this one were bulky and diffcult to clean. this brush is perfect in size , i have small hands and it fits perfect in my palm and also great for detangling in sections bottom to top . i dont know how long it will hold up for , im sure a long time if i dont soak it in water and make sure to let it air dry after each use.
