I was standing in line waiting to pay for my merchandise the first time I ever set foot in an Ulta store, and these were hanging by where I was standing in line. I thought they looked really useful, especially since I had just bought a whole lot of new cosmetics, plus they were priced very fairly, so I grabbed them.
The narrow tipped end of these is perfect for wiping up nail polish mistakes and for wiping away mascara or eyeliner mistakes.
The wider end of these is good for applying eyeshadow or concealer. They are not the best for applying eyeshadow just because they aren't the smoothest, but when you are traveling or do not have an applicator that came with your eyeshadow they work good enough.
I think these are very useful.
I bought these while traveling because I'd forgotten my makeup brushes at home, but I really did not like them for applying eye makeup. They're too stiff and harsh to be used dry, but when used wet they lose their shape easily and waste a lot of product.
What they ARE good for is cleaning up mistakes in eyeliner, mascara, and nail polish application. Both ends work for this; just get it wet/ dip it in nail polish remover and gently swipe the unwanted product away.

I love the double ends one to get mascara off my lid and I use the other end to separate the lashes after applying mascara. Cheap too.

I'm not completely satisfied with these, because I'm not as thrilled with the way the crease line works out with these. It seems to require a little more work to do what I want it to do.

These are great to use for cleaning up makeup mistakes and cleaning up when doinf your nails at home. The pointed end allows you to get into smaller spaces without removing a lot of makeup or polish compared to regular cotton swabs.
Great to travel with.

I use them to help shape and clean up my winged eye liner. I'll dip these cotton swabs into some neutrogena oil free make up remover and clean up any lil make up boo boos I made. I used to use just regular ole cotton swabs but these are wayyy better because they have a pointed tip on it which is much better for getting really small areas and being more detailed.

I use these for a multitude of things from applying primer in small areas, to correcting make-up boo boos, to blending powder eye shadows. I also use them to blend concealer.

Love these for cleaning up my nails or mascara mishaps. Work so much better than regular QTips when trying to get along cuticle or in along lash line.
