Sebastian Dark Oil Lightweight Conditioner

Meh. Not really a bad product, but not for me. But...

I am not a fan of this conditioner. I found it heavy and it made my hair greasy and the scent was unbearable. The scent is a very heavily musky, woodsy, manly scent. It gave me a headache and smelled more on par with a men's body wash like Old Spice. I have long, fine, thick, blonde hair and it just... weighed it down and made my scalp oily. All of the chemicals in it will eventually cause your hair to be dry and brittle instead of moisturizing like the dark oils that the product promises. In fact there's more chemicals than oils in this conditioner, which is why it will eventually dry your hair out. I would not recommend it for color treated hair at all. My 19-year-old son really liked it, though. He liked the manly scent, and he has very thick, curly, and usually frizzy hair. He said it smoothed out the frizz, made his hair shiny and soft and he really likes the scent of it. However, he said it weighed his curls down and stretched them out. So I told him to add a tiny bit of the companion shampoo to a smaller amount of the conditioner and work it into his hair and then rinse. That prevented the conditioner from weighing his hair down and gave it the benefits he really liked. But his hair isn't color treated at all. So, I'm giving it a three star review because I, as a woman, don't like the scent or the feel at all, but my 19-year-old son does. However, I still wouldn't recommend this for regular every day use due to all the chemicals and very little dark oils in it.
