Comments about Mario Badescu Vitamin C Serum:

I've been looking into how to update my skincare routine since I'm nearing 30 (I'm turning 29 this year) and kept reading about how I should add in a Vitamin C serum. Most of the Vitamin C serums I found were in the $70-90 dollar range and I didn't want to spend THAT much money on a product I wasn't sure about. I thought I'd try to Mario Badescu serum as a "beginner" serum since I wasn't going to worry about retinol or higher end serums until after I turned 30. I've been using it for about a month and I'm now OBSESSED with this serum and refuse to go without it. I have more sensitive/breakout prone skin and was worried it would be too harsh for me, but I use a generous amount on the nights I apply it and I've never had any issues with redness or increased sensitivity. I use it every other night (based on recommendations I'd read for Vitamin C serums) and let it sink in while I brush my teeth before putting on my moisturizer. This product has made more difference to my skin than anything else I've used before. After just one application, I woke up the next day to soft, smooth skin like I haven't felt in years. After using it regularly, my skin texture has improved tremendously and I'm not dealing with little dry, flaky areas on my forehead and cheeks like I have been. My mom and little brother both commented that it seemed to be improving my acne scars as well when they saw me without makeup. I also swear it's reducing my breakouts because I'll normally have a hormonal breakout along my jaw once a month, but those are almost non-existent now. I get significantly fewer whiteheads than I did before; I still get the occasional one, but they're much less frequent and they clear up fast. I love this so much that I bought it for my best friend for her 29th birthday because her skin is like mine!

Comments about Mario Badescu Vitamin C Serum:

I don't want to jump the gun on giving this a rave review because I've only had for a little over a week. All throughout my teen years I had little to no acne. I would get one really bad one right before my period but aside from that I had amazing skin, soft, moisturized, clear complexion. Well sometime last winter my skin started to rebel. I had the beginnings of what looked to be cystic acne. I can't say for certain though. I have VERY sensitive skin so I had to look all over to find what would work for me, it took me 8 months. Through trial and error I ended up with a routine for about 6 or so months of washing my face with Herbalism from Lush, toning it with Thayer's alcohol free witch hazel and moisturizing it with the Trader Joe's Antioxidant moisturizer. But once again they eventually stopped working and my skin was having a proper freakout. I felt awful about myself, I didn't want to go out, I couldn't put makeup on it because it made it even more visible. The entire area around my mouth was broken out in blackheads and pustules. I would wakeup everyday with tiny little white heads everywhere. I was switching my pillow cases every day. It was just awful. So I finally took the advice of everyone on the internet and looked into this brand. I'm so glad I did. The first product I used was the Buffering Lotion. I wanted to integrate each one into my routine every wash. I immediately saw a difference. It did dry out my skin but every pimple flaked off in a matter of 3 days. I have a bit of scarring but I can deal with that. I've been using the Honey Moisturizer instead of the Trader Joe's one and for the first time in 6 months I don't have dry patches on my cheeks. I got a free 5 piece gift set that came with the Vitamin C Serum. I woke up this morning with radiant, blemish free skin. My skin feels great!

I bought this because the peptide renewal serum was way to heavy for me and someone suggested to try the vitamin c serum. I wasn't sure it was for me but boy was I wrong. I've been using it for about two weeks now on my face and chest. I have a lot of sundamage and this got rid of dark spots that I figured were permanent because nothing else had worked.

I use this as well as the cellumfirm drops and they work together nicely. Just make sure you use as directed. I was using to much at first and it made my face break out a little. One I adjusted how much I was using my face cleared right up.

I still break out from time to time around my mouth and on my forehead, but the biggest issue for me are the scars left behind from previous acne. Will this product be better for lightening up those dark spots? Or would the whitening mask be better for this case?

The Vitamin C Serum can be used on occasional acne prone skin to help brighten and reduce discoloration. We suggest this product every other evening after cleansing and toning, before your moisturizer/night cream. To help further reduce discoloration from acne, our Glycolic Foaming Cleanser can be used as your exfoliant twice per week.

Hi, I recently purchased this product because I have dark marks that I would like to fade. Currently I'm using the enzyme gel, special cucumber lotion, and the Hydro moisturizer with vitamin c both day and night. I also use the glycolic foam wash twice a week. I have breakouts frequently but not all over. At the moment I have a pretty big pimple on my chin and tiny tiny bumps on my cheeks and on my jawline. Every so often I will get another big bump. Will this product help me and is the rest of my routine doable? If not, what should i be doing?

We suggest using the Vitamin C Serum on a different evening when using a strong AHA exfoliant. Using the two together may cause irritation if the exfoliant contains a high concentration of AHAs.

This may not be the best product for you. To help reduce congestion and blackheads while brightening the skin, our Glycolic Foaming Cleanser can be used - 1 to 2 times per week on dry skin or 2-3 times per week if oily. This product is oil free and will not clog pores. http://www.ulta.com/glycolic-foaming-cleanser?productId=xlsImpprod6200753
