Comments about dpHUE Apple Cider Vinegar Hair Rinse:

My hair stylist recommended this rinse after I expressed displeasure at how my hair is recovering from dyeing it and bleaching it within an inch of its life. So far I have used it twice and have noticed a huge difference in how my hair feels. However my hair is on a long road to recovery so until I finish the bottle I am unsure how big if a dent it will make on my hair! So far it is promising so I recommend trying this product!

My hair gets greasy easily so this a a life saver when it comes to stray away from washing too much. The smell is pretty nice for an apple cider vinegar product. I tried it once on a whim and now am hooked.

This restored my wiry, coarse hair and brought it such smoothness and shine that I was amazed. I also used in on my daughter's thick, curly hair and it was incredibly soft and manageable.

Comments about dpHUE Apple Cider Vinegar Hair Rinse:

I have long (more than halfway down my back), straight, thick, color treated hair (it's turquoise). I have been coloring my hair non traditional colors since I was 18 (I'm 38), and I've been battling color fading the whole time. I used to rinse my hair with straight apple cider vinegar because I heard it helped to fix the color and it would last longer. But the smell was a deterrent and I never stuck with it. I think it worked though, but I can't really remember. Anyway, I saw this in an Ulta email and I remembered doing it before so I figured I'd give it a whirl-since I'm still fighting the good fight against my color fading. The struggle is real.
It's a shampoo & conditioner. And it totally smells like vinegar. No joke. A lot. And it's super liquidy, I used an inch and a bit of it in my first wash. From the bigger 8.5 oz bottle. This is not a cheap product, so at that rate it'll last me about 6 washes. I'm definitely not replacing my regular shampoos & conditioners, but I think using it once a week should work. And my color really has lasted a bit better, the last wash should have faded it more than it did. I read that it's supposed to help scalp health, I hope so because I get dry scalp sometimes.
Anyway, to use it just wet your hair, put some stripes of it against your scalp, and rub it in. I also put some in the length of my hair. I have a lot of hair. It's a weird feeling, it doesn't sud because it's not shampoo, it doesn't feel like it's doing anything. And it smells like vinegar. No two ways about it. I did my usual wide tooth comb routine after I massaged it in for a while. But it felt super weird to not use conditioner. It felt so so wrong. And then I rinsed it out, and prayed that the smell would go away. It does. No blow dry. And my hair looked great! I have mixed feelings about it, but it works.

I bought the travel size to try this out. I try to avoid shampoo as much as possible and thought this could be a nice addition to my routine.

I tried this several times and tried using it different ways. This left my fine hair a dry, tangled mess, so bad that even after I used a mask to try and and alleviate the issue, it was still unmanageable. I had trouble getting a comb through it.

I purchased one sample, and went back for the bottle.
