The BaBylissPRO Volare V1 Dryer with Ferrari Designed Engine is a powerful, high-performance luxury hair dryer - made in Italy and driven by an ultra-efficient, high-speed, turbo power engine that was designed and built exclusively for BaBylissPRO in cooperation with the Ferrari Motor Company.

Specially designed for maximum airflow, minimum weight and low vibration, this Ferrari designed engine delivers faster drying and makes the BaBylissPRO Volare the Grand Prix of styling. First class performance backed by a limited 4 year warranty - the Volare launches a new era in styling.

Key Features:
  • Nano-Titanium infused grill
  • Tri-port ionic generator
  • Balanced ergonomic housing in Ferrari red
  • Turbo-shot instant boost button
  • 6 heat/speed controls
  • 10 foot tangle-free cord
  • 2000 Watts
  • 125 Volts
Drying Basics: Shampoo and condition hair with products of your choice. Rinse thoroughly. Towel-blot hair to remove excess moisture. Section hair. Using the dryer along with your styling brush, direct hot air through a section of hair at a time. Move dryer steadily across each section so that the hot air passes through hair. Direct airflow at hair, not scalp. Keep dryer's air intake vents unobstructed and free from hair while drying. To avoid over drying and possible damage to hair or skin, do not concentrate heat on one section for any length of time. Keep dryer moving as you style. For quick touch-ups between shampoos, dampen hair with a mist of water before styling with a dryer. When using your dryer to create curls and waves, dry hair almost completely on a warmer temperature setting, then finish styling with cooler air. This dryer includes concentrator attachments. Use the attachments when you need drying power in a small area (such as a curl or a wave), or when you want to relax curly hair.

For body and volume - To create extra volume, turn head upside down while drying. Position the airflow toward the roots for maximum lift. When hair is dry, tows head back gently and brush hair into place.
Straightening - Work with hair in sections when creating a super-straight look. Using a large round brush (approximately 2" in diameter), hold hair taut in each section and bend ends slightly under as you dry.
Making waves - Tousled, natural-looking waves are easily created by grasping hair at the roots and scrunching between fingertips while drying.

Comments about BaBylissPRO Volare V1 Dryer with Ferrari Designed Engine:

Although this is a well-made product, it is definitely not for anyone who doesn't have a ton of VERY thick hair! I wouldn't necessarily consider my hair "fine" but I found this product completely DRIED my hair OUT! My ends were straw and brittle. It took three deep conditioning treatments to get my hair back to normal. I didn't even mind the price tag because others were raving about it but in all honesty, I went from having the Rusk W8Less dryer to this one and absolutely hated what this one did to my hair. Back to square one for me on my search for a good dryer. Note, the Rusk one was awesome but it died after just 5 years which I thought was a bit too short of a lifespan and wanted to invest in something better.

It wasn't a bad dryer, I just couldn't hear anything, and felt like it was bothering the chi of the salon lol
Also, I hated how the concentrator was very tight, and difficult to put on the dryer.

Comments about BaBylissPRO Volare V1 Dryer with Ferrari Designed Engine:

I give this dryer 5 stars because it drys my hair fast and leaves it soft and not damaged. I use the highest heat setting for a minimal time initially and then reduce to the medium heat setting to avoid drying out my hair. The best drying feature is it's turbo power button that delivers the maximum heat flow. It also doesn't get hot to the touch like my former Sedu did. I was concerned about using a professional dryer on a daily basis because it may dry out my hair. This isn't the case if you keep the dryer moving and avoid using the hottest setting the whole time. The medium setting and turbo boost together reduces drying time by 15 minutes and my hair is think and frizzy in the humidity.

My typical routine is blow drying and then issuing a straighter. This Babyliss is AMAZING!!! Drying time is nearly twice as fast as my old dryer and it creates a silky, soft, smooth finish where there's no need to use a straighter. I should have switched a long time ago!!!

I will be returning or exchanging...not sure if this one is right for me! It did not reduce the frizz and I didn't feel that it had 2000 watts of power. I have had several professional hairdryers that have been 2000 watts and you can feel the difference. Didn't dry my hair quicker in fact it took longer. I used this dryer only once and the cold shot button stopped working. So that is why I may actually exchange and give it another try. Maybe this one was defective.

                    • Q:

How come product packaging looks completely different from the supposed packaging as displayed online (old packaging is fitted and has red flap on right side + looks high quality version of box vs packaging at ulta store was plain with dryer & accessories tossed inside in thin foam wrap paper)? Also, dryers missing serial numbers as on original Volare v1, and also have black cords instead of red power cords on the red version? I'm confused as to how or why this is happening and it almost appears like Ulta is selling knockoffs in stores?

                      • Brand Expert

                        A:

Ulta does not sell knockoffs, the units are directly from BaBylissPRO. We also went through a packaging change throughout our brand to have a more universal packaging with all of our dryers. The units themselves are also the same, they are packaged in the foam bag for protection instead of laying inside a tray but either way they are sitting on shelf the same as they were in the previous packaging. Websites that show the old boxes just have yet to update their photos (apologies for that). Also, the cord color is black as the cord is just a component to the dryer so going forward we did switch to black cords, again to keep up our brand standard across all dryer units. The housing and everything inside the dryer is exactly the same and has not/will not change - so performance is still the same including the Ferrari Designed Engine inside. Again apologies for any confusion and we'll work on updating those images online.

Parlux isn't offered at Ulta Beauty, so we are unfamiliar with their products. However, the Volare V1 can be tested at your nearest Ulta Beauty store in the 'plug & play' area! We also recommend reading the ratings and reviews here at Ulta.com. :-)

                      Hello,
I got my hairdryer and it was packaged very oddly. It was literally just the blow dryer in the box, no packaging, no wrap, no ties. Is this normal? It seems as though it should contain some kind of packaging in the box? Did anyone else receive the hair dyer this way? I'm thinking of exchanging it for this reason. I'm guessing someone may have returned it and it's not new? Please let me know if other's received their hair dryer this way.

I have short, fine, wavy (2a/2b) hair. I am trying to decide on the Volare V1 dryer or the regular Babyliss Pro Nano Titanium dryer. Which would be better for my hair? Would the Volare V1 be too much power I don't need since my hair is short (below shoulder) and thin? What are the main differences between the two hair dryers?

                        A:

Both dryers would be perfect for your hair, it all depends on your preference. Both are 2000 Watts, have 6 heat/speed settings, ion generators, nano titanium technology and limited 4year warranty's. The main differences are the V1 is an Italian Dryer with an AC motor so the dryer will be heavy and the Nano Titanium is an AC motor dryer, much lighter and easier on the wrist. It all depends on how often you'll use the dryer but both are equal in power and features - the difference is mainly design and outlook.

When comparing the Rusk Speed Freak dryer with the BaBylissPRO Volare V1 Dryer with Ferrari Designed Engine dryer - they both have 2000 watts of power and AC Motors. But the V1 dryer is slightly nosier and heavier than the Rusk Speed Freak. If you are looking for a dryer that is lightweight ( weighs less than a pound) and is extremely powerful, and quieter than standard dryers we recommend our BaBylissPRO Rapido dryer.
