Most Helpful Positive Review very gentle!
This makeup remover is perfect for me. I like to be thorough so I usually use up to 4 cotton rounds soaked with this stuff to remove all of my makeup. It is especially helpful for me because I am clinically depressed and am often out of energy to do much in the way of taking care of myself, and this I can do from bed. It has also been super helpful with evening out my skin tone and texture. Not sure if that is an intended benefit, but it's definitely welcome!
Most Helpful Critical Review Oily.
I've been using the micellar water with the green cap since I have oily skin and I love it.
My local store didn't have that one in stock so I picked up the one with the blue cap and I wish I hadn't. There's a layer of oil that just sits on top and it doesn't help to shake the bottle. This one makes my face feel even more greasy and I have to wash my face after using it. I thought it says oil free?? I'm just going to stick with the green capped one from now on.
Reviewed by 2330 customers Better than the neutrogena makeup wipes I would use!

I love how this removes makeup along with using the ulta lint free cotton pads with it, great combo! I use to use the neutrogena makeup remover wipes but it would irritate my eyes a little and felt like it felt a weird residue feel afterwards so I decided to try this & I have no regrets. This doesn't irritate me and removes my maybelline waterproof mascara really good compared to how the wipes did from neutrogena. Recommend!
This cleared my stubborn acne without me even trying!
Lottie from Seattle, Washington
Okay, I'll make this quick! This stuff is AMAZING. I had dealt with all kinds of stupid breakouts, from stress to hormonal to bacterial. I tried all kinds of face washes, lotions and more to help with that, but nothing worked for me! I then had heard that most sensitive skin types benefit from a simple skin care routine and a lot of the face washes and acne treatments we use actually make our breakouts worse! And the chlorine/minerals added to tap water can dry out your skin! (WHAT?) So when I had heard about Micellar water, I figured I might as well give it a try! I chose this brand because it was the most accessible to me at the time, and I am SO happy about that because within just a couple of weeks, my skin had almost completely cleared up!! I was using a light moisturizer, nothing crazy. But all I used was this. To remove my makeup, and went over my skin again to "cleanse" it. I never let water from the shower touch my face, and my skin was THRIVING! I chose this specific one, because I had pretty thick makeup. I have tried the other kinds, they just don't do the job for me. I have been using this for 4 years and I love it!
Removes the makeup but is very oily

Removes the makeup but is very oily
Awesome but shake well
sky from CT
Not sure how the company is advertising this as oil free because there's a huge layer of oil on top. You just have to shake it really well before using or else it is too oily. Otherwise, this is great. It removes all makeup and is gentle on the eyes.
The BEST makeup remover
Leanne from Wilmington, NC
This is honestly the best makeup remover I've ever used and I've been purchasing this for a while now. It's so gentle but super effective at cleaning the skin of dirt and makeup. It doesn't take scrubbing to get eye makeup off either, whether waterproof or not!
Gabi from Orange County
I love using this. it's cooling, nonirritating (for my sensitive skin), and I've saved so much from before when I'd have to wash my face three times to get my makeup off. Now it's just a simple swipe, and a quick wash!
best makeup remover ever!
Chloe from WV
Gets all of my makeup off sooo easily. I get the biggest bottle and it lasts me about 3 months. So much better than makeup wipes. Highly recommend!
Not for waterproof make up
Emilia from Miami
It's a nice make up remover but not for really waterproof make up. Of course, all waterproof make up cleans differently - some easier than others. I used it on L'Oreal Telescopic Mascara (waterproof formula) and I still had mascara residue for 2-3 days. It may work with waterproof formulas that are a little easier to clean.

this is the absolute best for removing makeup, i am ok my third bottle and i love it
Best hands down
Kristie from OH
Great at removing very pigmented water proof liquid eyeliner and mascara, if used as directed and fantastic at fully removing other make-up.
Does a good job

Simple good for skin, does the job
Best at removing waterproof mascara!
Danielle from Washington
I love this micellar water. It is great at removing waterproof mascara. I use a cotton pad and soak my eyes with it then start rubbing. Works great. Sometimes leaves an oily residue behind but is fine after a quick rinse. Works great.
Doesnt remove eyeliner

This takes off my eye shadow fine but the water proof eyeliner doesn't budge. Terrible product!
My OFFICIAL makeup remover!
Diva Sha from Harlem, NY
Getting my diva kit together is sooo important! Having a product that actually removes the waterproof makeup is the best! I just find myself washing and moisturizing my beautiful face afterwards! But the product is phenomenal!
READ THIS PLEASE!!!

I have been using this specific micellar water for YEARS and I have never had an issue! I took off my mascara with this cleansing water last night. Same mascara I always use and same micellar water, neither are old or expired. My eyes and the skin all around my eye and socket became extremely red and painful in the most stingy-burning sensation. I have never had this problem!! The morning after my eyes are extremely swollen and crusted. It hurts to put anything on them including aloe or lotion because they are now incredibly dry. Again, this has never happened ever in all the years of using this. Definitely switching to a different more gentle brand.
Rebecca from Texas
This does what it says it does, it removes makeup without harsh scrubbing. However, when I used it and didn't rinse it off immediately afterwards, my skin flipped out, started burning, and it looked like a chemical burn across my eyes, bridge of my nose, and top of my cheeks. Skin was extremely inflamed and cracking, worse that my teenage atopic dermatitis, and I had to pull out some strong steroid cream to try and control it. A week and a half later, I've still got residual flaking, but the pain and swelling have gone down
broke me out
lindsay from san francisco
I bought this because i heard it doesn't break people out. i have normal/oily acne prone skin. i used this ONCE to remove makeup and it made a bunch of little red spots appear all over my face. even on my EYELIDS! do not buy if you have acne prone skin
Daily use and repeat purchase
Jessica from Iowa
I love this product! Takes off all my makeup including waterproof just fine. I have fair skin and this doesn't break me out. I really like it and have been using it daily for almost a year. Can't live without it product.
Paige from Altoona
If you have very sensitive skin, i would not use this product. I used it for 2 days.. the second day i woke up my face was covered in red itchy bumps that were burning. It also left an oily residue after using.
Been Using For Like 4 Years
iaammai from California
I started using this in high school and never stopped. I used to use the Neutrogena eye makeup remover but switched to this sometime in high school and just never looked back. It gets my waterproof mascara off soooo nicely. I just generously wet a cotton pad with this and hold it up to my eyelashes for a good 30sec to minute or so and then gently wipe away. I seriously love this stuff. No matter which brand of waterproof mascara I am using, this stuff will take it off. I don't use it to take off my face makeup though. I have tried it in the past, and ended up using several pads worth to take it off and I still never got all my face makeup off. I use a cleansing oil to do that now. So, I just stick with using this to take my eyes, brows, and lip makeup off. And *chef's kiss*
i love this!!💕

it makes my skin not oily and makes it soft and fresh! actually somehow it removed my acne 😳 i love this for sensitive skin and oily skin!!💕
I like this but...

I love this but it feels a little oily so people with oily skin I don't suggest this to you and it kind of make my eyes tingle a little bit.
Be weary if you have very sensitive skin
E from NYC
Takes off waterproof mascara decently with a bit of rubbing and a cotton pad, but very bad for those with sensitive skin. I have very sensitive skin to the point where scented products make me break out in eczema patches, and this product did just that. I had an eczema flare up on my eyes after using this product and it hurts so badly. The bad reaction has lasted for over a month despite me not using it anymore. This has worked well for many people, but I'm gonna have to pass on this product. Just be weary if you have extremely sensitive skin! :(
basic, good for makeup and sunscreen
paxton from California
its a good, basic, water-based first cleanse. you have to shake it a lot, or it separates and gets oily.
Drowning in oil
TieraBrianne from League City, TX
This cleanser left my face feeling disgusting after each use. I would have to rewash my face after a few hours because I was dripping with oil. Also didn't remove makeup or mascara very well. I couldn't recommend this product to anyone
