First of all, if you think this product is greasy, you're probably using too much. I've been using Biosilk serum for 10 years now and I won't stop! I rub a nickel size amount into my palms and rub my hands together to warm it up. Then, I run it evenly through my hair when it's damp OR dry. It helps my dry hair feel soft and look shiny. It's a little pricey but trust me when I say, a little goes a long way. If you've tried the CHI hair serum, the results are similar to that but the Biosilk serum smells SO much better. You won't regret it!
Great for curly thick hair. My daughter uses it all the time. It's a little difficult to use due to its runny texture and it doesn't take much at all. It feels oily but doesn't feel that way after it dries on her hair. I have straight thin hair and it makes my hair look oily and limp

I love the formula so much, I've used so many other oils and conditioner to help my hair detangle and stay smooth, but they just don't hit the same like this one. I have extremely thick hair and I also have eczema, this is the only thing that doesn't make my scalp greasy and it doesn't irritate my skin, I bought the biggest bottle and I've had this for a few months and I barely made a dent in it. I highly recommend this product for those who have sensitive skin and have thick unmanageable hair. It's pretty pricey but it's worth the money and you don't need to use a lot of product

I have seen a lot of reviews saying that this product makes their hair more dry or more brittle and I just want to say that before you use this product you need to understand how it works. This is not a moisturizing product. This product needs to be used in combination with other (high end) moisturizing products. Biosilk therapy is high in protein which will cause damage if not used with a good moisturizing shampoo and conditioner or some other moisturizing product. This product is made to protect hair, not to moisturize already damaged and dry hair. If your hair is damaged and dry you should be using good moisturizing products and adding biosilk on top to LOCK IN that moisture.

Let me start by saying I am extremely picky with the products that I use on my hair. With that being said, I already have very healthy hair that is long and thick but also fine. I have been using this product for years and even when I try something new I always come back to biosilk. This isn't a natural oil or anything so it can build up in your hair so I personally only use a small amount and I try to focus it on the ends of my hair to protect them. It tames any frizz I have and makes my hair soft. But I wouldn't say this is a "rescue" product for anyone with damaged hair though because it really won't hydrate your hair, it more or less just puts a nice coating on it which will help lock is moisture that is already there. IT DOES NOT ADD MOISTURE. this product is not to add moisture to your hair. If you have damaged hair you need to find products made specifically for damaged hair.

I have tried many serums, but this one I keep coming back to. I have thick, dry, fairly coarse hair with curls. This serum leaves my hair the shiniest and does the best job with being absorbed into the hair shaft as oppose to just feeling like it is coating it. And you do not need a lot, so the bottle lasts a long time. The scent is the BEST of all hair serums. I have allergies to scents and I can tolerate this one (I believe it tends to an essence of lavender). I really dislike the sweet, heavy, coconut and vanilla scents with a lot of the hair products out there. I have ditched trying any other serums at this point and am sticking with this tried and true product. This serum has been around a long time, so I believe that says a lot!

I like this product when the weather gets drier an day hair needs more moisture.

I purchased this product cause my mom has used it for years, I got it after getting a haircut in which I cut 8 inches, after that haircut all my hair looked beautiful and healthy (natural, uncolored, I do nothing to my hair) And I wanted to protect it to let it grow again, so 1 week after adding biosilk to my haircare routine, my hair looks fried, extremely dry, breaking with tons of split ends. That I'm astonished!!! This has never happened before. Then I read reviews about this, and how this product is just like makeup for your hair, it doesn't hydrate it, its just a synthetic coating of silicones that make it look good but after each use it builds up and prevents the hair from getting hydrated! This product doesn't nourish your hair, it just dries it out, and by this you keep putting more and more biosilk on (more hair makeup) No wonder why my moms hair has always look like straw, we just thought she had really bad hair and biosilk was helping her!!

I used to love this product when I was a teen. It seemed to really work. I'd put it of before straight ironing my hair. I have since cut down on heating tools to help prevent damage. This product leaves a wax feeling and makes my hair stick as if I put wax in my hair. Only after heat is applied does it smooth out. Threw the bottle out because it seemed to encourage split ends and damage. No longer a fan of this product. Sorry for the negative feedback, but just wanted to be honest about my experience.

I have used used this oil for years. I have very very dry hair. I put this on before blow drying my hair. Then afterwards in case of a few flyaways. Smells great too....

I honestly thought this product wasn't going to work well for my hair. I read the other review and saw all of the complaints so many others have had that I almost didn't buy it. I love my hair and work very hard to take care of it. It was only the fact that I had heard so many great reviews from people in person that made me give it a shot and I am VERY glad I did. I absolutely love this product! It makes my hair look and feel so healthy! I put it in after letting my hair dry from soaking to just damp and afterwards no matter what I do to my hair as long as this is in it it is soft, glossy, bouncy, and beautiful! It has body, life, and shine every day now and I will definitely be purchasing again!

I have used many, many silicone serums and other smoothing products on my hair over the years. I've gone silicone-free, I've gone silicone heavy...I'm just obsessed with experimenting with hair products. I keep coming back to this one. First of all, the smell. To die for! Smells like a salon in the best way. I have tried the light version of this and did not like it. I have thick but fine hair. So fine strands but a ton of them. My hair is just slightly wavy. This tames whatever frizz I get from disrupting my waves, and helps my hair be super smooth when it is handing straighter or I blow it out. This is basically a dimethicone product. The good news is that it will cling more specifically to damaged parts of your hair. The bad news is that it will build up if you don't use the right shampoo. Even sulfates don't always get all the dimethicone out in one pass. Sciencey Hair Blog's info on this is great. If you and your hair like a good dimethicone coating, you can't do better than Silk Therapy Original. Personally, I find it great for my hair. The only issue is that my ends tend to get dry, even if I directly drench them in this. So it's not perfect, but it's dang close.

I use this product after flat ironing my hair and it keeps it silky smooth. I love how my hair is shiny, stays fairly detangled that I can run my fingers through it, and smells nice.

I finally got my own and now thinking why did I wait this long. Love love how my hair feels after. My mom has used this in my hair since I was 4 years old. I am now 22 years old with very curly hair (3b/c) and this is the magic secret product I don't tell anyone about! My strands are naturally baby fine and prone to breakage and this product helps strengthen my hair allowing it to grow massive! I never have to worry about split ends all while keeping my hair irresistibly soft, shiny, and frizz-free. For my curly girls, use this product with damp hair after your styling products with only the TINIEST amount. Your hair will thank you, I promise. Biosilk thank you for never changing the ingredients to this amazing product.

I have very thick hair and this helped the frizz a bit but not enough to justify how much I used and the price to repurchase it so I ended up giving this to my mom and she liked it. Feels nice but not really worth it
Beth from Bakersfield, CA
I live by this. I have naturally straight hair but it tends to look a TINY bit frizzy sometimes. After a shower I let my hair air dry for a bit and then apply this when it's damp.
Using this makes my hair look like I used a straightener. Someone literally asked me if I straightened my hair one morning and I never straight my hair.
And it leaves my hair so incredibly soft!

I have always had thick and a lot of hair. I decided to dye my hair blond 3 years ago. After that my hair was distroyed I felt my hair would not grow, so a year and a half ago I started to usé Biosilk. After a shower I would put some biosilk on the tips of my hair. Then brush my hair out, I started to see results like 2 weeks after that. Since then I have been using this product, it has really helped my hair. Also if you hair is frizzy and follow this procedure your hair won't be as puffy/frizzy

I bought this for a friend who was helping me out to get free shipping. It's something she always uses.

This product did absolute WONDERS to my hair. But it broke my forehead and hairline out so badly. I wish I could keep using it because it is probably the best hair product I have ever used, but it caused the worst breakout I've ever had on my forehead.

My hair is fried from going blonde so often, but usually it bounces back quickly. Well after going the lightest I've ever been in September 2019, I decided to take better care of my hair. I bought bio silk because the description made it seem like an awesome reconstructive solution that would help the damaged appearance while fixing it. I also swore off heat products, and only got baby lights to blend my roots a little in January. Aside from that I've just been extremely gentle with my hair, used hydrating high end shampoo and conditioner....and biosilk. I noticed my ends continued to be like straw so I cut 6 inches off and spot cut all my split ends. So I was beyond surprised when not too long afterward my ends once again felt like fried straw (because prior to my use of biosilk my hair always bounced back well!) After 7 months of deliberate care and use of biosilk, you'd think my hair would be soft and shiny as they advertise. Instead my hair is dry, brittle and breaking. Wasn't till I read reviews on here that made me realize it's the biosilk I've been using religiously. Maybe it works well on uncolored, natural hair, but use caution before using this to repair your damaged hair.for me it made it much worse.

My mom started using this on my hair when I was 3, because she couldn't get my tangles out any other way. I have very fine hair, but a lot of it. To this day, I can't brush my hair without biosilk. I'm in my 30's. I use this every time I wash my hair, just a few drops, and massage the excess into my hands. I apply mostly at the ends of my hair and run just a little up to the roots. If you apply too heavily, your hair WILL look greasy. One big bottle lasts me 1.5-2 years. I will never stop using this!
