I was a little skeptical at first when l opened this up and saw that it was a "blue" fragrance. Usuallylin my personal experience) blue bottles and packaging haven't smelled great on my skin. But this. This was a most pleasant surprise. I first noticed the bright and peppy scent of the lavender which almost had a fresh, sweet citrus quality to it. After the top note faded and the heart opened up into this fresh and energizing scent of...musky/ driftwood/ oceanic minerals?..idk I'm not great with pinpointing scents and olfactory profiles but it worked well on my skin and my wife loves it. The bottom note is where I really enjoyed it the most. It almost has this dusky, almost peppery and ambery quality that lingers very nicely both on my clothes and skin. Even after weeks of being in my closet I can still strongly smell it on a shirt I wore well over a month ago. It's a great all around fragrance that can be used for date night or (very lightly) applied for the office or even a day at the beach or in the woods. I'll definitely keep this in my collection as long as it stays available. Always love YSL.
