Get voluminous curls with Conair's Xtreme Big Curls Hairsetter, which include 12 hot rollers. Rollers are 1 1/2 inches. Includes 12 super clips - both metal & plastic clips.
I think this is one of the best Conair hot roller sets on the market. If, like me, you prefer larger rollers and often don't use the medium and small rollers included in other sets, then this is the hairsetter for you! All the rollers are 1 1/2 inches in diameter so the result is lots of volume and smooth, loose curls. The rollers heat up fast and are gentle enough on my hair to use every day (something I avoid doing with my high-heat curling iron). The set also contains 12 plastic and 12 metal clips which is a huge plus--I use both types depending on where I place the rollers in my hair.
I think that many of the negative reviews here are because people don't understand that this set is not for creating tight curls. In fact, if your hair is shoulder length or shorter, you probably will not get any curls at all; rather, you'll get a large C or S shaped wave (like you would with a blowdryer and a round brush). You also have to let the rollers cool completely and use product in your hair (frizz control serum, gel/mousse, and hairspray) if you want the curls to hold.
My hair is about two inches below my shoulders, very wavy, layered, and tends to curl easily. This set smoothes out my waves and give my hair body and shape. Love it and highly recommend!
I let this warm for 5 minutes. The rollers were pretty hot. Sprayed dry shampoo on roots. Then hair spray the rest. Then started rolling my hair and left the warmer on the whole time. I let them sit in my hair for 40 minutes. Hairspray each curl as I took out the rollers. Finger combed my hair with maybe 5 strokes at best. Ands this is all the curl these gave. Hairspray again. I'm hoping it stays at least like this. Tho I wanted way more curl than I got from these. I got much more from the remington curling wand I just bought.
Maybe my hair is too long. I don't know.
This does not stay warm longvenough to curl my hair. Also they slid out. Clip or prong neither held the roller in place
These hot roll curlers work absolutely amazing! I have trouble curling my hair with a regular curling iron, but these are very convenient and easy to use! The application process to the hair is simple and it comes with instructions too if it's your first time using rollers. I was greatly surprised with this product in the best way possible!
I live in a humid climate, but even on a low humidity day the slight wave and volume that these provide is gone within a couple of hours. Hair type: fine and full. Length: very long
These don't hold a curl. But then again I only use it on normal hair. I don't dampen my hair and I also don't use product so that might have something to do with it. I wasn't really looking for a curl anyway I just wanted to add some volume and a bit of wave to my hair and that's exactly what it does for me. If I want a curl in the future I will likely try adding a little product before hand and spraying a little hair spray afterwards and I'm sure that would do the trick but it certainly won't hold a tight curl if that's what you're looking for.
I have been using a curling iron for many years. I broke my arm and cannot maneuver the iron. This set is so easy to use. The rollers heat quickly. My only complaint has to do with storing the clips. There isn't any storage.
