I loved this scent!

The box was underwhelming. The norm I think for scents. Packaged securely enough though. The bottle itself was beautiful however, weighted and ombré and with two Coach charms at the top that I got a lot of compliments on all by themselves! Now, I'm not a huge fan of deeply floral scents and was unsu...re how I was going to feel about this before it arrived…to my surprise this scent had a very multifaceted scent profile that was Rose, but also, dynamic and evolved from the typical smell you think of when you think of what perfumes often times synthesize rose to smell like. Often times you'll find rose scents overpowering, so thick that it could easily make a person choke. Not this. This scent is significantly less acrid while still remaining rosey. I think that this is the first time I've come into contact with a rose scented anything and wanted much more of that experience! I've never had that before! There's high notes of warm citrus scents, nothing excessively overpowering still though. Alongside the citrus is also a synthesized ambergris called ambroxan that gives this Coach spray something really special. When I first heard that this had an ambergris scent in the mix I was extremely unsure how to feel about that. Knowing that ambergris has been a base in "fine perfumes" for decades is fine and all, but I feel that only now in this modern age are we tapping into scents that aren't horrifically artificial smelling in a way that is noticeable, so I had mixed feelings before this arrived but will say now that all my reservations about that went completely out the window the second I sprayed this onto my skin! Coach's Wild Rose is playful, sexy, feminine and flirty. An aroma you'd wanna breathe in while you nestle into the neck of the wearer. It's meant for your skin, and I don't mean that so much literally as I do figuratively because in more ways than one it's almost as if it's smell is something natural but clean! The smell is absolutely beautiful in every way! I fell in love with it so immediately, and wanted to show it to everyone…until I made a disappointing realization. This scent lasts a notably short time, and I do mean notably. For a Coach Perfume, a brand we all know and love who is known for top quality products I expected this scent to linger around at least a little bit but I feel the smell is pretty much not present at all after about 10-20m. I felt personally that it was closer to the 10m mark over the 20m. Earlier I mentioned I wasn't much a fan of floral scents…I'd also like to make everyone understand that in general even as a female I strictly wear colognes…because I don't find that I like any perfumes I've tried in the past. A rare few but almost none. For me to fall head over heels for a scent like this despite the fact that it's both a perfume and scented with largely floral scents is quite remarkable. I wish there was more longevity in the strength of this smell. There is none. It's a very fleeting moment and because I love the smell so much I'm caught in the middle of a desire to drown myself in the stuff every two minutes and to stick it in my closet and never really bother wearing it again because I feel it's price point is hefty for the lack of performance. Still, it smells good. There is no question there at all. Is it worth the money? You decide.
