- Q
I got a brand new bottle, when open it looks mid-dark orange, is it oxidized? Or is that the right color? The online pictures look tinted but depending on settings I can't tell if it should be light tinted orange or mid-dark color? Please advise
- Asked by Choco
- Official Answer By Perricone MD - Brand EngageIt's hard to say without a photo. A little darker is normal, but a deep rust color can indicate oxidation of the formula. If you have your original receipt you can return to your local Ulta store. You can also call our Customer Care number 1-888-823-7837 to provide additional details about the batch number. Was this answer helpful to you

does this serum turn dark when sun or light and air hit open.
- Asked by sixkiller
- Official Answer By Perricone MD - Brand EngageYes, our Vitamin C Ester serums in general can oxidize when exposed to light. There’s a disclaimer on the box recommending to keep the product out of sunlight. If your product has been exposed to sunlight is can potentially become less efficacious and potentially irritating. Was this answer helpful to you

I love this for my melasma!
I'm so thankful I was picked to review this product for free from Perricone MD. I'm in my forties and have had melasma ever since my first pregnancy. It gets worse in the summer months. This really helps to take down the dark spots. It started fading then within a couple weeks. Before I started usin...

Great product, but…
I've been using this product for a few months now and really like the brightening effect on my skin. I was using the C ferulic from skin ceuticals, but wanted to give this one a try. However, I have issues with the way sunscreens (both mineral and chemical, as well as with or without moisturizer) cl...

The Best Vitamin C Products

This is hands down the best vitamin c product on the market. Gives you a nice fresh glow. Only issue is that the product congeals a little bit where it disperses but great market nonetheless.

This is AMAZING. My skin absolutely loves this product. Texture, tone, and hydration have greatly improved.
Not absorb
Even though this serum smell great and skin felt really soft right away, my skin did not absorbed this product. It clumped even when i tried it alone, with same brand moisturizer. I had to return it.
Have used for years.

This product does just what it says. Lightens age spots and conditions my face and neck. Use it as directed and you won't be disappointed.

A disaster
Reviewed at

I have used many Vitamin C products successfully. I took advantage of a sale, and purchased this. Goodness! My face broke out in huge red welts which took a week to soften, and two weeks to finally go away. I decided to use it on my sun speckled hands, just to finish the product. My hands erupted in welts, too! If your skin is sensitive, I'd stay away from this. Mine is not, and still I had this reaction. Final advice: any time you're trying a new serum, Vitamin C or otherwise, don't try it before a big event. I have a formal wedding to attend in two weeks, and am so glad I didn't use this a few days prior - my face was a mess.
