Obsessed - Great for Hourglass Powders!
A few of the negative reviews are understandable, but do yourself a favor and give this brush a chance to work for you. I wasn't initially impressed with it, either and am no stranger to good quality brushes. Hourglass products in general have been somewhat enigmatic to me in that they take trial ...

Not at all worth the money
This brush sucks, I had such high hopes and was so excited but it truly applies the makeup so unevenly. The distribution is just not right. I've tried both ends and anywhere I put makeup with it it's ends up splotchy and caked on in some areas while non existent in others. And trust me, I'm not inep...

Love it…expensive but ..
My most used brush
I bought this brush almost 3 years ago and have used it every single day since. I absolutely love it! I apply my bronzer with the larger side and my blush with the smaller side. I wash it almost weekly and not a single bristle has come out. Well worth the money! I can't imagine my makeup routine without it!
100% would buy again!

Obsessed - Great for Hourglass Powders!
A few of the negative reviews are understandable, but do yourself a favor and give this brush a chance to work for you. I wasn't initially impressed with it, either and am no stranger to good quality brushes. Hourglass products in general have been somewhat enigmatic to me in that they take trial and error to perfect. I find the formulas to be very different from most brands and while this brush may not work with some products, it performs like a dream with Hourglass powders. Different formulas require modifying the application technique. I don't have time to play around with makeup application, but once I figured it out, the stars aligned and my face hasn't looked this good in over a decade! The smaller brush I use for bronzers and highlighters and occasionally for blush. It's not super dense, which cuts down on excess product and blotchiness. While the bristles are slightly stiff, they are also quite soft on the cut edges. The sturdiness allows for easy transfer of powders from pan to brush and brush to face without disturbing contour or foundation underneath because of the softness of the edges. Blending is seamless and powder is evenly distributed if you use a light hand when applying. Less seems to be more with Hourglass and other luxury brands. I use the larger powder brush for diffusing pigmented powders and diffused light finishing powder. The firm / soft bristles are the same on this side. I find the dome shape to be effective in diffusing pigment and evenly distributing the finishing powder. The combination of brush and powders provides a smooth and glowing airbrushed look, again use a light hand. I have also used it with Laura Mercier and Hourglass loose translucent setting powders with a similarly amazing effect. The only thing I don't like is storing the dual ended brush, I have to lay it flat and it takes up a lot of real estate on my blush shelf. There wasn't any remarkable shedding and cleaning was on par with most other brushes. I regret not using it on days I skip it or have it set aside for cleaning. There really is a significant difference between this and all others I've tried. Make the splurge and buy this brush- you need it!
