I am wary of hairspray. It brings to mind images of the sticky, crunchy hair of dancers in 80s videos. Obviously, formulations today are not often like that but you still have to be careful. This hairspray made me believe once again in hairspray. Initially, I felt the sticky tackiness that I am afraid of when using hairspray. I was convinced I should have followed my gut and not used any. I should have stuck to my texturizing spray. Although I didn't like how it felt, I did notice immediate volume. Throughout the day I realized that the residue had dried down some and my hair felt touchable. I could feel a little bit of the buildup but my waves were far from crunchy and were actually somewhat smooth. My hair had not fallen flat and was still voluminous. That's a win! I have found after using this product a few times that less is more. It is easy to build volume by spraying the freezing spray at your roots and then fluffing it up with your fingers. Don't use too much and you can trust this hairspray to hold your style and keep it full without crunch.

I loved using this extra full freezing hairspray it worked magically giving me great volume that stays in place all day! I highly recommend purchasing it and will re-purchase it myself it's really that great!!!

I used to use Vavoom products in the late 80's early 90's. The hairspray back then smelled AMAZING like coconut. This new stuff smells like Aquanet, just horrible. It is sticky when applied and dries softly to where you can use a comb to put your hair where you want it and comb through it lightly if needed. I used a pick to separate some of the stickiness and out came a clump of hair! Though it does provide fullness, I personally will NOT use it due to the fact it smells horrid and is very sticky. I already have a ton of slightly wavy hair but wanted some lift. The lift that I did get fell within 10 mins but still feels somewhat "full". I had my mother try it, and at 75 years old with the same kind of bouffant hair since the 70's, she liked it and also stated it smells like aquanet, which she had used plenty of in the past 😂🤣 She did not like the smell either unfortunately. This can is also a bit too large to handle for someone that has hand/arthritis issues. It does spray very lightly and can almost be hard to direct where you want just from the size of the can. Wish it smelled like it did 30 years ago. It's definitely not for me and my longer hair

I have short hair that I wear messy every day with styling cream. This hair spray was a great addition for a few outside events I attended where I knew the wind would be a factor. The spray went on smoothly, wasn't too sticky and didn't leave a crunch on my hair. I will definitely continue to use this when I need a little extra hold. It has a pleasant smell too, sometimes hairsprays have had a really heavy scent, not this one!

I recently tried the Matrix Vavoom Freezing Spray Extra Full hairspray and I'm in Love! This texture and fragrance is awesome. It's gives me the perfect volume and hold all day! I will be repurchasing this definitely and I highly recommend it! Nice.
