Thick for a serum but very effective!

I received this product for free from Influenster and Kenra in exchange for my honest review. Scent: As far as serums go, this one still smelled pretty nice. However, it smells more noticeably different from the shampoo and conditioner--not quite as good, and with a hint of another smell to go with... the fragrance used for the set of products. It smells a tiny bit more chemical-y, but not in an awful way--more like those of products found in a hair salon. This really isn't even a complaint--it's more nitpicking than anything! Performance/texture: To be honest, I used this product a bit less frequently than the shampoo and conditioner, mostly because I forgot. The serum is on the thick side, so much so that "serum" doesn't quite feel like the right word. It's almost more like a cream or regular conditioner. I'm not used to leaving products of that consistency in my hair, so I was a little nervous that it would make it feel greasy or weighed down. However, it worked just fine! I do need to thoroughly wash my hands after applying it because of the thicker texture, but I feel like that's a sign that it's the real deal. Packaging: Just like the shampoo and conditioner, this one also came with a twist cap to prevent leaking/spilling, which I really appreciate! The little diagram imprinted on the bottle was very easy to interpret, and the twisting mechanism was easy to use as well--not too tough and not too loose. Together: I received all three products in the Triple Repair "line": the shampoo, conditioner, and serum. While I could see and appreciate each product separately, they do work best together as part of a routine. The products claim to help with repairing and strengthening hair, and I definitely feel that they do that, especially when used as a system. I've used this system for just over two months. My before and after hair photos show some of the difference in appearance, but it is even more noticeable in person. I will say that, while this set works well for treating damaged hair with split ends, I think it may be too heavy for some hair types--such as those whose hair is already soft and conditioned and totally healthy. All in all, I was extremely pleased with each product as well as the set as a whole! I will absolutely continue to use these.
