- Wear included gloves and cover clothing. Start with dry, un-shampooed and detangled hair. Start at the crown of the head and work in small sections. Finish your roots last, as they tend to lift faster.
- Using a hair applicator brush, fully saturate each section, working the bleach down the hair. Leave the roots for the last step, as they will lift quicker.
- After all sections are fully saturated go back and apply bleach to your roots* and any missed spots. *If you are only bleaching your roots, do not apply over previously bleached hair. Overlapping could cause excessive damage to hair.
- Wait 35-45 min paying close attention to the condition of your hair while processing. Check every 10 min. To check the process, wipe excess product from a small of piece of hair using your gloved hand. If the hair is not lightened enough, leave mixture on longer. DO NOT leave on for more than 45 minutes!
- Rinse hair thoroughly with lukewarm water, ensuring that all product is washed out.
- Shampoo and deep condition.
Pre-caution: Read all directions and warnings before application. Perform a skin allergy test 48 hours before each use of Totally Clean Bleach, as allergies can develop suddenly, even though you have previously used this product or similar products from other brands in the past.

Originally planned on doing a touch up
I have light brown roots.. normally aim for a light golden blonde. After applying to my roots as I usually do, I waited ten minutes.. ten minutes lol. My roots turned white.. not pale yellow.. not gold.. but white. I tried doing a bleach bath bu adding water and bringing it down to my ends to even it out. Left it in 5 more minutes. My roots are white and my ends are a pale yellow.. originally a light golden blonde. Used toner to try to blend.. no luck. I mean it pulls beautifully.. no brass but should come with a warning. My hair is healthy but white.. gonna have to bleach the ends to match.. be careful.

i picked up this bleach kit at ulta, had not seen this brand before. i've used many other hair color brand's bleach kits but none left me as satisfied as this one. left me with a gorgeous cool toned blonde. the included conditioner is also great.
USE WITH CAUTION
i am an ulta beauty employee and i have been dying my hair myself for 10+ years and have NEVER damaged my hair more than this one product. i left it on for 35mins like the instructions said and my hair is GUMMY and snapping in half when i brush my hair. never will be using this again and i would advise you to do the same!
