I wanted to test this deodorant out for a week once I received it to give a thorough review. How did I find out about Drunk Elephant? A woman on T*kTok made a stitch responding to the initial video of the other woman talking about L*mē's Acidifying Body Wash, and how using the Sweet Piti Deodorant C...ream was a great pair to help your body smell nice. I was intrigued because I really needed a new deodorant. I know that my body has to get used to this new one, and I was not disappointed. I've tried L*mē's full body one, but it didn't help the odor. When you struggle with PCOS symptoms like I do, the way you smell makes you very self conscious on hot days or during exercise. Here is my experience for this past week: Day 1 - I've heard on Ti*Tok that putting peroxide on your armpit before using deodorant helped. I put some on one armpit before applying the deodorant cream to both. To me, I smelled something similar to piercing gunk (I have a nose ring so that indicates it needs to be cleaned). Day 2 - Thinking that it was the armpit without peroxide that smelled weird, I put some on both before adding my deodorant. The smell got more weird. Day 3 - The NY heat came with a surprise of humidity, it was the perfect test as I was bound to sweat a lot, so I took the risk. No peroxide this time, just a clean slate for the deodorant cream. I felt that prickly feeling in my pits when I start to get extra hot (which normally is followed by the horrid smell), so I braced myself. I used the L*mē body deodorant under my breasts and pelvic creases, since that seemed to work for my daily life activities. At the end of the day, I showered with exfoliating gloves (for the first time) and was hit with a waft of the bad smell from my armpits once the deodorant was washed off. I was impressed that it prevented the smell, but was initially concerned about the overall balance of detoxifying the overall smell. I washed with L*mē Acidifying Body Wash to help control the odor. My gloves smelled like the breath of an old man with bad teeth afterwards so I cleaned them in vinegar for the next day. Day 4 - It was still humid and hot, so I did the same application as yesterday. This time, I started to notice my armpits smelled a little more like the Fenugreek I take. But it was stronger there as opposed to the rest of my body. Washing at the end of the day yielded no smell concerns either. Day 5-7 - Same simple method, gradual increase in the sweetness. No masked bad smell. At this point, my body had started to get used to the deodorant and I was excited to throw away the Mit*hum ones. I have found my alternative, and the Woman was right. This is the go-to deodorant I've been looking for. Overall, it enhanced the sweetness I smell like nowadays, maybe I put a little too much cream because it smells more like syrup (but I don't really want to smell like syrup lol) and it kind of irritates my throat. Why it enhances my sweet smell is of course, if you're on T*kTok, my regimen became an inclusion of Minty Chlorophyll and one Fenugreek pill a day. I take some Colloidal Silver here and there as well. But I'd rather smell sweet than stinky. I'm sure my partner will be extra obsessed with how I smell now that I smell like I take 3 Fenugreek pills a day lol. Drunk Elephant has a new regular.
