Essie Strong Start Base Coat
I love Essie Strong Start Base Coat purchased from an Ulta store. The bottle came in a box which was reassuring that it was unused and someone hadn't "tried it". I researched this specific product on EWG (Environmental Working Group) before deciding to purchase. It has an EWG safe rating of 2 and is the best reputable base coat I could find. The brush works great, the base coat goes on smooth, dries quickly and my nails are noticeably stronger in two weeks of consistent use. I use this base coat with OPI polishes and top coat. They work well together. I highly recommend.

I love Essie products. Perfect base coat long lasting dries quick.
Nor sure I would purchase the same product.
All the base coats promise a long wear. I have yet to find one and essie is no exception. I believe these products work well for someone that has no need for general housework. 2 days and the product was chipping on the nail tips.
Game Changer for My Nails!
I've never been so impressed with a base coat! Essie Strong Start has made my nails stronger & longer than ever before. I used to deal with peeling and breakage once my nails grew past the free edge, but no more! Plus, my manicures last a full week without chipping, which is a miracle with how much time I spend typing each day. It dries fast, grips polish well, and removes easily when it's time to switch colors. So far, my holy grail of base coats.
