Smooth and soft hair
Straightening my hair takes an eternity because I have very frizzy, voluminous hair that is super thick and curly. This Revlon Smoothstay 1" Coconut Oil Infused Straightener took no time at all to straighten my hair and make it so smooth looking. I prepped my hair by washing it as usual and applyi...

I got this as part of the Gorgeous Hair Event so it was CHEAPLY priced. That's basically what I wanted, a more affordable flat iron as I don't use one often and gave mine to my mom years ago, so I haven't used one in forever which tells you that I didn't really need one but wanted one to change up h...

Wavy hair to straight
I love this flat iron. My hair stayed almost completely straight when it was raining, which it never does when straightened. Its very easy on my hair and doesnt take long yo straight like other flat irons have taken.
Thick hair ladies
I bought this flat iron and with the price I thought I was getting a deal from the reviews it had. But sadly it didnt work for me. I have long, thick hair and it really pulled my hair. I even sectioned it and it was still pulling bad! Also since I have thick hair, the temperature states it reaches 450 which it does not at all!
I like it; nothing fancy.

It works well. It didn't leave my hair quite as soft as I expected, with "coconut-infused" as part of the product name. But It's compact and useful; a good buy.

I got this as part of the Gorgeous Hair Event so it was CHEAPLY priced. That's basically what I wanted, a more affordable flat iron as I don't use one often and gave mine to my mom years ago, so I haven't used one in forever which tells you that I didn't really need one but wanted one to change up how I style my hair a bit and hopefully make my life easier. This is that. Nothing fancy nor great nor fantastic. It straightens my hair. I like the color scheme. It heats up quick. The cord doesn't get all tangly. Wow. Coconut Oil? Yeah, I don't know about that. Shiny silky hair? Ehh, sure, but nothing like the commercials where there are no fly aways or frizzies. Does my hair snag? Yeah, but not a whole bunch. It's worse if I take too small of a chunk, it snags pretty badly but I also have really thin hair and not much of it, and my tips are pretty damaged and dead so I just have to learn to grab a slightly larger chunk and not clamp down as hard. Can I curl with it too? Absolutely, I myself just need more practice with it to get it right. Is it what I paid for? Oh heck yes, it is so cheaply made and light-weight (which is good so my arms don't get as tired while styling it) and feels so not nice quality. So much so, that the locking mechanism they advertise as a feature to lock it closed doesn't work at all. The irons themselves doesn't match up evenly side to side, but it doesn't affect the performance (irons do hit each other flat, but the whole device is skewed if that makes any sense at all). But overall everything feels like it was made by spending a total of $2. Overall, would I buy it again? No. Will I keep this one? I'll try to swap it to see if I got a bad quality one first, but I think for the close to $18 I paid for it, I'll be keeping it and using it and learning to just deal with the little inconveniences. Hence the 3 stars, nothing is absolutely horrible and it does the job. Now hopefully it'll last forever as I don't want to go through this excruciating process of finding another flat iron I can afford that's not complete garbage.
Not for my hair
I had to get a new flat iron to replace the one I've had for over 6 years and wish I had stuck with the same brand. I had used a revlon straightener before, and my sister now uses it; since it has last so long I thought I would try going back. This one just made my hair frizzy, felt very course (I take very good care of my hair and have almost no split ends and my hair is very smooth,) it made my hair crease, and it also smelled while it was going over my hair, I have never had that happen before. I think it would be a great straightener for someone with a different hair type. I will be returning.
