Amazing tan, but not for beginners!

I consider myself to be a self tanning pro. I've tried almost every brand and type of product, you name it, i've tried it. The first time i used this, i was TERRIFIED by the application! Its extremely dark (you will look absolutely ridiculous after you've freshly applied it) and the texture dries to... an almost velvety finish so it's a little difficult to work with. You have to blend quickly, but not with too much pressure or you'll create even more streaks. I find that long and straight swipes work better with this product rather than circular motions. This product takes a little practice to get it right, so you really have to know what you're doing and if you want good results you have to follow a proper self tan routine! Prep your skin in the shower the day before by exfoliating well. Apply lotion to your knees, elbows, wrists, and feet before using the tan. This is not the type of tan that you can put on before going out. For the best results, you need to wear this overnight. It takes a bit longer to shower off, because some areas will get darker if they were touching something (my armpits get darker and my inner thighs get darker because of my sleeping position) so i have to spend extra time lightly exfoliating those areas to wash off the color guide. Even though it requires all of these extra steps, I still come back to this tan because of how pretty and how long lasting it is. I've repurchased 4 times now. I get a good week out of it before i need to reapply. It doesn't fade patchy like other dark or ultra dark tans i've used. By the 5 day mark i start feeling a little pale, sometimes i'll use a light tan (BS Liquid Gold) as a touch up and it extends the tan for another 3-4 days. If you have olive or neutral undertones, the ashy violet base will look so good on you and leave such a natural looking tan!
