Begin with dry hair. Comb and part your hair as you normally wear it. Put on gloves.
- Open one activator packet and pour it into the bowl.
- Mix the color and activator with the brush until fully blended.
- Apply to your roots on your t-zone (hairline & part).
- Use the cleansing wipe to remove any color from your skin.
- Set a timer for 10 minutes.
- Wearing gloves, rinse hair until the water runs clear.
- Shampoo then condition with the Color Therapy Hair Mask included in your kit.
- Let the mask sit for 5 minutes then rinse again.

Not enough product to cover roots & doesn't match I purchased this product because there are two applications inside and wanted to save on the cost (MR advertises two applications), but it literally takes both applications and then some just to cover the average amount of roots needing to be covered. Also, the root color does not match the light golden brown color as their customer rep told me it would when I emailed them to ask before I ordered the root touch up. The root color is much darker. I was trying to avoid the `brassiness` of the blonde option ~root cover up~ and ordered the "light brown" in hopes of the next best thing, by creating a shadow root effect ..but it was MUCH !! darker than a LIGHT brown and I had to call on a hair stylist friend to fix it ! I chose root touch up in an attempt to avoid over processing my hair but ended up needing all over touch up to blend the mistake. I haven't given up on Madison Reed and HAVE had good results !!! and I do respect the culture of the company .. but I have wasted money on my last 3 purchases that didn't work for me : ( ( ie: the brassy result of blonde root , another color didn't "take" ((not sure why ..n cd have been my error )) ,,n thirdly this super dark result of the " light brown" i expected to blend in )
Great product but need better color match

Love the ease of use and short processing time. Leaves my hair soft and in good condition. Color lasts for weeks. I wish there was a better color match to auburn tones. I minced with Dervio to try and get a better match to a medium auburn tone but didn't really like the result.

I use Ravenna brown as my regular hair color and they suggested Cabria dark brown. Well my hair color turned out to be black! I'm not happy. It is hard to get someone on the phone. The company needs to invest in better customer service or they will lose my business and many more.
