Subtle, clean scent; payoff could be improved

[I received this product in exchange for my honest review] The initial scent of NOYZ Rinse Cycle was fresh, clean, breezy, and like deodorant, in a pleasant way. I appreciated how gentle the onset of the scent was; I never felt a headache even while spraying. It did not quite smell like guava; it sm...elled more like flowers combined with laundry detergent. Then, it began to reveal a sweet, minty note, along with spiced apple. After 2 minutes in total, I smelled the anjou pear clearly. A deeper, heavier note settled in within 4 minutes. I don't know what musk flower is supposed to smell like, but this smelled vaguely floral in a sweet but "brown" way. It was the kind of note that would linger over a silent room and feel like the physical manifestation of a shared, somber, unspoken truth. As the minutes passed, the scent felt "warmer", and then the fruit note returned, before finding the base note of sandalwood. The cyclical nature of this fragrance's payoff mirrors the surface inspiration of a washing machine and the emotional theme of brightness continually returning amidst darkness, especially as one processes intense feelings. I did feel disappointed in how quickly this scent reached its base note - just 10 minutes - and how faintly I could smell it after that, though it did restart the cycle after an hour of sandalwood. The secondary cycles are more difficult to consciously track and seem more fluid. For a fragrance to retain its psychological power and have a genuine and palpable arc, the initial payoff must take longer. It is impossible to go through an entire emotional purge in 10 minutes, so the fragrance, which takes only that long to progress to sandalwood, does not adequately mirror that kind of experience as it is supposed to. Overall a good fragrance, especially for those who are sensitive to strong scents, but I would encourage further development to lengthen the payoff.
