OLAPLEX Rich Hydration Hair Mask for Dry or Medium to Thick Hair

The rich hydration hair mask by olaplex has worked really well for my thick hair. I have generally healthy hair but it is very thick. I wash my hair frequently so my hair can also tend to dry out on the ends. This mask has been a great addition to my routine. I use it at least 2x a week to help restore moisture and hydration and bring life into my hair. A little goes a long way and I have to add my favorite is the scent! It has the same scent as my favorite olaplex hair oil. It has a sweet luxurious scent. I lather this mask on in the shower and leave it on for at least 5 minutes before rinsing. It does not weigh my hair down. It makes styling a d blowing out my hair more manageable and I can easily brush my hair out because it's just that smooth! My frizz has also gone down over time which is a plus and my hair looks better than ever. I received this item complimentary to try for my honest review.

I have medium thick hair which is usually very dry and damaged. I got this mask to use weekly for almost the past month. The texture is creamy and thick, I take a little and coats every strand well. It rinses out well and doesn't leave a residue and a little goes a long way. After each use, my hair feels silky, soft, and hydrated—exactly what I want from a nourishing mask. The downside is that the frizz control doesn't last very long. I have to use with some leave in treatment so my hair doesn't frizz up quickly. My hair starts to puff and frizz again within a day or two with just the mask, even when I air-dry and skip heat styling. I wish the smoothing effect were stronger or more long-lasting. However I have noticed my hair stay soft and shiny even after few days of wash. My hands can feel the hair softness and the husband even complemented the shine. Overall, it's a great moisture boost and perfect when I need an instant softness and shine, but I can't give it five stars because the frizz creeps back faster than I'd like.
