This is the first gel I've used that actually defeats frizz. I've tried all of DC's other gels, Ouidad's, Eco, KC, etc... this is the one. It has great hold, too. It's a slightly watery gel. I use four pumps for my shoulder-length hair and it keeps it 90% frizz-free for days. I cannot recommend this product enough for hi-po hair.

My curls are dry and super picky, so I'm always cautious with gels. Some are too sticky, some flake, and others just leave my hair hard and crunchy. This one? It surprised me. The Quench & Define Gel is made for dry, medium to coarse curls and coils, and you can feel that in how it performs. It gives a firm hold but still keeps your curls soft and touchable once the gel cast is scrunched out. It also claims to keep moisture locked in for up to five days and hold your style for up to seven, and I actually believe that. I've gone multiple days without having to refresh, which is rare for me. If you deal with dry curls that need structure without stiffness, this gel might be your new favorite. It's earned a permanent spot on my styling shelf
