Great until it wasn't
Writing this review after receiving this for Christmas. I started using this almost immediately. I wanted something that created more defined twirls instead of the bulky one I was using from revlon. I wanted so bad to love this product as I have loved all of my hot tools products up until this point. Let me point out that this tool was of interest to me because its detachable meaning easier clean. I soon realized that would be the only good thing about this. The first thing I noticed when I turned it on to use if for the first time is thag it is very loud! I was already questioning my choice at this point. Then I quicklh found out the bristles dont grip your hair very well and you quite literally have to push your hair into the bristles HOWEVER this thing gets so hot that its nearly impossible! I have texture to my hair as I have naturally curly hair; I have never had my hair not stick well in the bristles. I have been straightening my hair for well over 15 years and I dont think I have ever had a styling tool get so hot. This tool just produces too much heat, your hair is sure to be damaged very quickly.
Perfect for me
My hair length is just above my shoulder I use this tool for my bottom layers, outward. And then I use a bigger round brush tool for my top layers inward. This tool is great. Not really any cons for my use.
Returning - not good for getting the roots
I was pretty disappointed with this tool and will be returning it. The bristles are too soft to grab your roots so I ended up with curly roots and straight hair. I have another brush dryer from a different brand that doesn't have that problem.
