I've been using this for years and love it - wondering if anyone has tried adding a mist of some sort of facial spray (Avene, Evian or Mario whatever) to prevent it from drying out, pulling away from the sides..?

Adding water-based mists can actually break down the formula over time and affect its smooth, long-wear finish. Bare Study is not opaque
It's not anything like the other Paint Pot shadows. It is sheer and sparkly. I use Painterly on my lids even them out, but it's too dark on fair skin. Bare Study looked like the perfect color, it covered nothing and just made my lid sparkle.
Paint pots not for over 50- the color doesn't matter
As a Mac customer for over 30 years. This is now a no go. Dries out and clings to every line on your lids. It's like companies are using cheaper ingredients to make the same products and the products and consumers are suffering.

I purchased this to cover my faded permanent black eyeliner. It covers it perfectly. I have tried other concealers that did not work, but this one does! So glad I ordered it.
not to be dramatic but it changed my life
Concealer and setting powder was my "go-to" for years and I neglected eyeshadow primer. I noticed my satin shimmer shades were not showing up AT ALL and I realized perhaps I need a make up primer. Well, first I tried the "holy grail" by Urban Decay. Not only did that burn my skin, but it made my eyeshadow look busted and wrinkly. ANYWAY, I have very fair translucent skin. Without concealer on my eyelids, you will see veins, blues and purples popping through. MAC did not disappoint, as I was able to APPLY THE PRIMER OVER MY CONCEALER?!?!?!?! Not only that but MAC made me realize the setting powder on top of my concealer on my lids was aging me! My shimmers show up and my shadows perform better than ever. If you think concealer is performing just as well as this primer, you are lying to yourself. I regret all the years I applied eyeshadow without this tbh. This will be a forever-purchase for me. It's worth the price. Thank you MAC!
