Most Helpful Positive Review Might be a Holy Grail!
I am in my mid-30s and have fine lines as well as extremely acne-prone skin that breaks out if I use almost all drug store and high-end foundations, including Make-Up Forever HD and Lorac. I finally realized a couple months ago that silicone exacerbates my breakouts, especially dimethicone, which is in almost all liquid make-up and some powders, including most of the ones that claim to be more natural. While technically not a skin irritant, dimethicone, which gives make-up its slip, also creates a seal on your skin, trapping acne bacteria on your face. Over time, it can paradoxically dry out your skin, even though in the short term it seems to have a moisturizing effect.
Enter brands like RMS and Kjaer Weiss. While these work beautifully on women with great skin, the coverage is not great and has a tendency to fall throughout the day, sometimes within a matter of hours. Kjaer Weiss is more full coverage, but it also applies patchy and uneven, so I now mainly use the cream foundation as a concealer.
I started using the old formulation of Juice Beauty Foundation in Ivory. It didn't irritate my skin, but the coverage could be patchy, even using a Beauty Blender. It also had a tendency to fall. But I was so thankful to have some coverage without my skin breaking out more that I made do.
After using it all up, I went out and got the Phytopigments Serum Foundation in Cream as well as the Illuminating Primer. I am ecstatic. The consistency is ultra light-weight, but the coverage is amazing, without looking caked on or patchy. I am genuinely surprised that people aren't liking it, but I wonder if they are being told in the store that it definitely looks better if you are also using the primer. Additionally, you need to SHAKE WELL before each use. I applied with a foundation brush in sections and then used a Beauty Blender. I set with a powder and the Juice Make-Up Setting Spray. My skin looks absolutely radiant. It also looks really great on camera, which is a definite plus.
Most Helpful Critical Review Oxidation Issue
I have been a long time fan of Juice Beauty's Age Defying moisturizer, so when they launched this new foundation, I was quick to give it a go. I went into a nearby Ulta and spoke with a Juice Beauty contracted MUA. She was very friendly and helped me find a color match. She did stress that you should try the colors on your cheek and let it sit for several minutes to ensure best match. Unfortunately, after a couple days of use and no matter what kind of application technique I used. . . I've come to the following unfortunate conclusions. The color oxidizes horribly and you WILL look like you were poorly spray tanned with a color several shades too dark and orange. This product will make you feel very dried out and tug at your pores. This product dries quickly and makes blending very hard. Overall, this product needs continued reformulating and research before it is relaunched. Will be returning.

This is the first foundation that I have used that has been not only a perfect shade match but so nourishing to the skin as well. I apply with my fingers and go over with a wet sponge for a perfect finish. I have super dry skin and this NEVER leaves me flakey like so many others have. Highly recommend
Will definitely buy this again

Have tried many name brand liquid foundations. This goes on smooth and even. It doesn't cake and look pastey after a couple of hours. It really is hard to tell without looking really close that I'm wearing make-up yet it covers well.
I wouldn't buy this product again.

I use the foundation on my face and neck. It's very thin and watery even after shaking to mix.
Not enough coverage

I wanted my bare minerals and was talked into getting this one. I'm not to happy about it. I told the girl I didn't like liquid for coverage. Now I have to buy more make up.

I use this daily. I squirt a small amount onto my palm and gently pat it on my face. I add layers as needed. It works great with or without a moisturizer.
The only drawback is that it does not have a sunscreen. However, I generally apply Juice Beauty SPF 30 Oil Free Moisturizer prior to the foundation.

This product was suggested to me by an Ulta rep over a year ago and I have used it ever since. I was pleasantly surprised by how amazing this made my skin look and feel. I get complimented on my skin regularly now and I have no doubt it's because of the Juice Beauty serum foundation. It keeps me looking young and fresh.
Keep making this!

Product goes on so smooth and you only need a small amount. Great coverage to even out skin tone. Does not leave a make-upey feel to your skin. The color fits my complexion perfectly! I love the whole line of moisturizers, especially the subtle scent.
Not a fan.
efw from Arizona
Too runny and doesn't soak in so you can tell it's makeup on the skin. Very disappointed in a very expensive product. The only redeeming factor for me is that it's vegan and all natural.
Made My Ski. Feel Super Oily

I really wanted to like this product but it just made my skin super oily and shiny. I had to return immediately.
I will not be buying this again

I'm glad I tried this "foundation" at a reduced price because I doubt I will use it. It's so watery that it takes way more applications to get any coverage than I have time for. I have good skin so it's not that I'm trying to cover up much, just even things out - a foundation. This product is not that! Very disappointed.

Love how this goes on so smooth and light.. I mix a little with my serum and it goes on so so smooth. Very natural looking.

Okay but not what I was expecting

I really like how this product is organic and natural ingredients however it is a downside that to apply this foundation you need to pat it on with a cosmetic sponge and it does not work well with foundation brushes which is what I like to use especially for blending.
It is tricky to find your match but worth the hassel!
Working Momma from Visalia California
I used this a couple of years ago and it was wonderful but oxidized horribly. I remember I do agree that it is tricky to use because the consistency is watery but remember it is not filled with silicone, dimethicone, or other bad stuff for your face and it is truly good for your skin, hints serum skin care makeup! Anyhow I recently purchased again and got several shades lighter after playing with the shades for a while in ulta and watching the oxidation.. naturally I would go with sand but got the cream 08 shade and used highlighter to offset. Surprisingly it works for me and doesn't oxidize on me to an orange color, which is the issue I had with some of the other shades. Anyhow I wore it yesterday and received several compliments on how my skin looked flawless!!!! My friend is going out to buy herself some because she said it looks like my skin and asked what I was wearing!! She hates the thickness of foundation so I think she will like the consistency of this. Remember to shake, shake, shake this up quite a bit before applying because it separates a lot and is even more difficult to use if you do not shake it up to get ingredients mixed. It can be messy to use but BOTTOMLINE I would recommend and repurchase again and again! Just think of the Goodness you are putting on your skin and how nice your skin will look if you put in the work to find a shade that works for you! Totally worth the hassel! Hope this helps. :)
The best foundation!!!!

dry skin? this is for you

I have normal/dry combination skin & dry mostly during winters spent in an office with blasting dry heat + blasting heat in the car for 50 minutes a day. One pandemic in, I've learned that dry air wrecks my face & even dries my sinuses too much. During stay at home winter 2020 my skin was FINE with just a little bit more consistent daily use of a moisturizer at night+ after shower. But during times my skin is flakey and hard to keep happy, this foundation makes me look like me but with better skin, everything else settles into dry patches and lines of dry skin making me look awful. I have used it year round before but not this past year. I do agree that because it's a very liquid foundation, you have to be extra careful pumping it out without squirting it everywhere. I have a routine for this (mini pumping 1/2 squirt on back of hand on top of the sink) & still I've ruined some clothes by dropping a glob of it on myself or flinging it as I use my stippling brush. It sucks when that happens but the rest of the time, I love this stuff. I don't agree that there's no match for all yellow based skin tones as I'm a yellowy ultralight olive, a very hard color to match and I have a match! If I change in tone a bit due to getting sunburnt/tan I am able to color correct with some bronzer + blush. I always have a bottle of this foundation and I do recommend it, particularly for Fall/Winter/Spring.

The shade range is trash, first and foremost. This foundation is designed to be runny, which threw me for a loop at first, but the luminous finish is beautiful. It is a little tacky even after it settles and isn't a full coverage foundation. I would suggest this as a tinted moisturizer with light to medium coverage. This would be great for those who don't want super heavy product on their skin.
Another once-great product ruined by cutting corners :(
Sarahlw from Raleigh, NC
I originally bought this product a couple of years ago when it was recommended to me by an Ulta employee. To say I was thrilled was an understatement... yes, it was on the more expensive end, but it was perfect buildable coverage that was easy on my skin. The shade matched flawlessly and I only needed a tiny amount for my entire face. I loved it. When I ran out earlier this year, of course I bought it again. To my absolute disappointment, the product is different. First, the pump was changed to a cheap, spring-loaded plastic to where it became uncontrollable how much product you were actually pumping out. It basically would shoot out like a squirt gun and get everywhere. It also doesn't stay securely on the bottle, and needs retightened after each use or it leaks. Second, the actual foundation is different. It is so, sooo thin and watery that it takes forever to build any real coverage. Then, the second any moisture hits it, even after using setting spray, it returns to liquid and is running all over the place. Awful. $50 down the drain, and I will never buy from this brand ever again.
Really wanted to love this…
Ashley M. C from Windermere, FL
Really wanted to love this because of all the bad cancerous chemicals that this does not have like other foundations, but it is super runny and is not something I could wear all day because it eventually seeps into my eyes and burns until I wash the foundation off. I really wanted to love it because the ingredients are nice and it's nice to see aloe as the first ingredient than water. Please redo the way this is made so it's a thicker substance Juice Beauty!
Wouldn't buy again

It is very lightweight but doesn't have great coverage. I personally wouldn't buy it again.
If you want a sloppy mess and no coverage this is a deal
Dewgirl from Tahlequah oklaoma
Usually I like the simple ways of just applying light makeup and out the door but they was very watery and I thought maybe it might have been sitting really long some the pandemic shut a lot of businesses down. I wrote to ultra and they advise nothing they could do if I wanted to return.. More of a general response
This is the best foundation I ever used!
Whitney from Texas
I love this product! I wish I would have known about this foundation years ago. The foundation is so light you can't tell you have makeup on. I have skin that break out as soon as I put makeup on but I have no complains about this foundation. Just buy the foundation you would be happy you did!
Best foundation I've ever tried
Mandy from CA
I absolutely love this foundation. I used to use only high end foundations that didn't have organic or natural ingredients but when I realized how those affected my health, I decided to try organic foundations instead. All the others I used weren't good until I found this! Wow. It beats all other organic foundations and the old stuff I used to wear from brands like smashbox, tarte, etc. I have dry skin that breaks out easily and this doesn't show dry patches and also doesn't break me out at all. It gives me a healthy glow too without shine that looks amazing! I also love the coverage- it's enough to cover my under eye circles and acne scars but also doesn't look heavy or caked at all. A little goes a long way!
Hit and Miss all at the same time

I was extremely hesitant on writing this review because I love and hate this product in different ways. First, I love it because of its amazing ingredient list, that alone is 5 star. But, application can use a lot of work. It dispenses out very watery and splatters everywhere if you're not careful. (I recommend doing half pumps to lower splatter zones, I got my shirts messed up). Second, it's coverage is OK- I'd say medium and it holds up decently throughout the day without drying out or oiling up. This product really does need your patience and a few try's to get it right!
Watery/Not the Best Match for Yellow Undertones
M from Flower Mound
I really wanted to like it, it is very watery. It can be messy but just use common sense and you won't spill everywhere. I wouldn't say it's horrible. It gives great coverage and does last pretty much all day (I have combination skin). I think they need to add more skin tones in the mix. The shade I got was the closest, but not an exact match.
They have other great products so I wouldn't be discouraged from this brand.
Hopefully they take what their customers are saying into consideration and make some more diverse color ranges.
