Yes, my skin feels good after the shave and yes, the shave is close. That said, there is much more friction once the gel converts to foam and there seems to be very little benefit of foam over gel. I have been using a specific shaving gel for a very long time, but recently it's consistency has changed and I have been disappointed in its effectiveness. So I tried a different approach, using a shaving soap and brush, which did not work for me. When I saw some reviews of Particle's gel, I decided to try it out. It took me a couple of days to figure out how much I needed to use. When I got there, I was surprised by the tingling sensation, though I was aware it would do that. Now I am used to it and am appreciating the feeling. So far, the gel is feeling good on my skin and seems to be improving my shaving experience. I am going to keep with it.

The first time I used the product it was clearly my best shave ever. I used the hour glass to allow the 43 seconds to allow the gel go to work. With each stroke there were no cuts or burning sensation. I highly recommend this product.
