ILIA The Necessary Eyeshadow Palette

I'm a redhead so I'm very pale. I selected this palette because I need a professional clean eyeshadow option for zoom meetings. I basically stopped wearing makeup during the pandemic and now that I no longer wear a mask every day, I want to dress up and have more confidence. It's fairly typical that... I cannot find my makeup shade because I cannot tan, but the lightest cream shade here does work beneath my brow, if barely. It's a little dark on me, but most people will be able to use it as an inner corner or brow highlight. The bronze shimmer is absolutely lovely! The dark mocha brown is quite pigmented and adds depth attractively. The medium brown next to the cream shade works well as a transition color. The crimson/maroon shade looks nice contrasted with my blue eyes. I'm explaining this because I could only find a model with blue eyes for the silver dove shade of eye shadow but the maroon also looks nice. The brownish/ grayish/ red purple shades in the center look okay on me. My best friend wears red purple and it looks amazing with her brown eyes, but I have found that blue purples look better on me than red purples. The warm palette is mostly browns and I wanted some colors to try also, so I chose the cool palette anyway. I was somewhat guessing because none of the models have my coloring, which is fairly normal. I can wear certain cool and warm tones but not all of them. Thankfully, Ilia does have a model with red hair, even if her skin tone is darker than mine. She looks pretty in Ilia makeup, so I decided to take a chance. The cool eyeshadow palette offers a very professional and natural look. The eyeshadow blends well and I am happy with the wear time. I stopped wearing other brands of brown eyeshadow years ago because they irritated my eyes. However, I had no inflammation issues with the Ilia eyeshadow, which was pretty and very comfortable to wear. Eventually, I would like to try a more dramatic smoky eye to go out, using eye primer because I have never used eye primer before and all the reviewers I watch recommend it. I just got my first set of pretty makeup brushes and they work well with the Ilia eyeshadow. Currently, I am better at applying solid eyeshadow than liquid eyeshadow, but I have both types from Ilia and I'm going to practice with it. Once I am better at applying liquid eyeshadow, I look forward to trying brighter colors like Aster and Dove, from their liquid eyeshadow collection.
