Be myslf love myslf and smell good for myslf

I received this cologne in exchange for my honest thoughts and opinions and I'm not a huge fan of the base smell but I don't mind the product as a whole. This is the YSL Myslf intense and I have to say they are putting a lot of amazing things into showing how premium the product is the box has this ...really expensive feel to it having embossed sides that are the myslf label the top has a very tiny YSL logo embossed as well. The front of the box has this gorgeous off-white color with a dark grey YSL logo over the off white rectangular outline and above that is this silver embossed MYSLF logo right under the logos is a silver name for the company type of spray this is (Eau De Toilette Intense), the fl.oz (3.3) and mL (100). It has the typically necessary information on back but it just looks and feels premium and that premium feeling goes beyond just the packaging because the bottle is so gorgeous you might want to display it on your shelf when you aren't using it or even if you are. The bottle is this clear rectangular shape with a black cap that's got the embossed ysl logo in the center of it the front of the bottle has this imprint that is the logo and you can see the liquid within it. Now let's talk about the scent notes because it surprisingly doesn't have as much as I thought: Top notes of: zesty bergamot, mid notes of rich orange blossom and patchouli plus ambrofix and finally the base notes are white musk infused with a second-skin sensation. I will say with the notes I do detect the woodsy floral yet sweet scent of this product its a lot of the bergamot, woods and white musk plus a undercurrent of the orange blossom to really soften up what would have been a mostly earthy woodsy scent. I will say that this scent needed either something a little more in the gourmand section to really get me because it wasn't sweet enough felt a bit too woodsy and nature like. I was fortunate that I had an event going on the day after I received this product so it worked out perfectly. We were traveling for a prom and I wanted to makes sure for the send-off that I smelled nice and lovely for the prom participant so I wore my really nice clothing (cause this is a pretty fancy scent you wear for fancy engagements) and although this wasn't a fancy event it stil felt like I could get away slightly with wearing this cologne. I put it on at about 11am, because they live far away we had to wake up early to get to them in time, had it on from that time til about midnight and even did a spray test on a sheet of cardboard to see how long it would last that way and let's just say that he lasts for a long time it's not as strong when first applied but it lasts a good while. The sheet that I sprayed it on lasted from the Saturday morning until wednesday evening so if you need it to stay on and aren't doing anything that may take it off you are in for the long haul. In conclusion, this is a great woodsy floral scent if that's what you are into and it has a gorgeous premium looking and feeling bottle/packaging that lasts you a long while my only issue, and this is a personal issue, is that I'm more a gourmand guy that likes my scents a bit sweeter and softer something with some vanilla, peach, etc anything that feels a bit saccharine. So for that reason and again you may like this so your review might be different but I give this a 4/5 leaning towards a 3/5 just a bit. Its a great product with a hefty price retailing for about $155 so really consider the scent notes before purchasing the product.
