Originally gave it 3 stars due to colors not being accurately described, lack of color payoff, and tiny pans but I could tell that the texture though lacking pigment was quality and very smooth. It's classy, pretty, and the quality is notably prestige. It's rare for me to return prestige makeup but I had a like-hate relationship (one of my biggest regrets, huge sigh of relief and happiness returning it) because the price absolutely didn't justify the worth and performance. When this palette went on a much better holiday sale over a year later, I decided with much trepidation to reorder it because unless the initially launched palette was defective, I had a hunch that it might have been improved or reformulated since then. Glad that I gave it a second chance because the current release is so much better than the initial release. Even the acrylic packaging is more expensive, sturdier, and thicker. The shadows have more pigment and are soft without loosing the smoothness and refined quality. The shades pull a step closer to rose in description than the version from the initial launch. I love this version of the mini rose and shades much more. I do hold prestige to a higher standard so I can't quite give it 5 stars but there's no option for 4 and 1/2 stars.
Not great at staying in pans
I like the color story, but this palette crumbled the instant I put a brush to the pan. The only colors that didn't do that were the glitters- my matte ones are completely destroyed after a couple uses.
This is a repurchase
One of my favorite Natasha Denona mini eye shadow palletes. Her eyeshadow formulas are very good. I love the colors, & most importantly they blend well. I strongly recommend.
Looks pretty in the pan, not pigmented
I read several reviews, but it was not pigmented at all. The colors are so pretty, i wished they would pack more on the eyelids too. Such a bummer!
Shrinkflation palette
I was shocked when I opened this up to see how tiny these minis have become. The price has stayed the same but the amount of product in these new palettes is way less. I would never have paid full price for this if I had realized in advance how much smaller these are.
