My all time favorite sunscreen but you must give it a chance

I am 49 and have been a diligent sunscreen user my whole life, but I have also struggled with acne my whole life. This has made finding a great sunscreen a real challenge and I have tried them all. Truly. Here is why this one is the best, but also why you must give it a try for at least a week or so...:-It is a pure mineral sunscreen with a very high zinc oxide %, which according to my dermatologist is critical. So it does what it is supposed to do.-It looks completely natural on, and my small amount of cream blush blends beautifully on top of it.-It does not make me break out. -It is extremely gentle. I am one of those people who is irritated by niacinamide, which seems to be showing up in a lot of sunscreens these days. Thankfully the ingredients here are relatively few and non-irritating. Thank you for no niacinamide!Now the tricky bits:-If you have any flaky, dry skin on your face it will cling on to the dry skin and magnify this, so you must have a smooth, gently exfoliated, moisturized face to start. This is easily accomplished for me with retinol at night, a gentle exfoliant 2x a week and a daily light serum (I have fairly oily skin, but the retinol can cause a few flaky patches if I'm not careful).-Very important: it will feel a bit greasy at first, this is not oil, it is oil free, this is the silicone I believe. In the past I would avoid any sunscreen that felt like this for fear that it would make me break out. This does not make me break out, and the greasy feeling goes away after a few minutes. If I were to touch my face during the day it would feel a bit like something was on my skin, yes nobody likes that feeling, BUT one should not touch ones face! And more to the point, after wearing this for over a year I can say that it does not make me break out, so I am less concerned about the texture, I actually enjoy it now because it feels soft and a bit plush. If you have never had acne most likely the texture would not be a turn off to begin with, I am mentioning it for all those people who are hesitant about a sunscreen with this texture.I hope MD Solar Sciences never changes this formula.
