Absolutely not a primer.
I typically very much love beekman, but this product was not it. I have no idea how it could even be considered as a primer, but even on its own it's a very poor product. Didn't care for this one
Although I love the Beekman skin care products I have, this tinted primer just wasn't right for me. The light shade was too light and the medium too dark so I had to return it. The consistency was a little less blendable than I expected for a serum formula.
My favorite
This is my second bottle of Beekman Milk Tint SPF 43 Tinted Primer Serum and I am so happy with it. I am 76 and this product does not settle into my wrinkles at all. It goes on smooth and blends beautifully.
Smells and Pills
Smells like crayons, has to be shaken or it separates, and it doesnt apply smoothly. It pills over skin and any uneven skin gets exaggerated with dry patches instead of blurred over. It also settled into my pores and left me with flakes on my face. Immediately no i dont get how this is a "primer"
Wasn't what I wanted it to be
I had high hopes for this product to be a light foundation substitute. It's was recommended to me and I was told it was great but it was too sheer and too dewy I felt like it never stopped making my face look wet. Not what I was aiming for.
Its good but not fitted for some circumstances
This is a really good tinted primer (more like moisturizer). very hydrating and super pigmented, not chalky and dry like most tinted anything that's not a foundation. This is best suited for dry skin or people who live it dry climates. if you have oily skin or live in humid weather regions. This is a no go, unless you are going for that makeup no makeup look but even then you will have yo really set it because your face will turn into a grease pan, especially if you are wearing makeup. Your face will melt. Its light like a super moisturizer but acts like a foundation, its weird. Highly recommend applying with a sponge or using a sponge to remove excess before taking off. Again I like it but can't wear it on the day to day.
