Wakse Hair Removal Cream Review: A Guy's Perspective Let's be honest—when it comes to grooming, many guys still shy away from products like hair removal creams. I was one of those guys until I decided to give Wakse Hair Removal Cream a shot. After hearing some buzz about it, I thought, why not? Here...

No-Go On The Face

Overheard that this product was good for sensitive skin, saw the ingredient list was nice and short and I'd been spending a fortune on waxing my beard so I wanted to try this. I did a test run on my legs, which turned out beautifully, no irritation and removed my hair with ease. I'm a man so my ha...

Burned my Skin

I don't know if the product I got happened to be expired or not, but when I opened it, there was an immediate sulfuric smell. It wouldnt come out of the bottle through the spout either. When I finally applied it, I left it on my chin for only 2 minutes, as the directions said. When I removed it, not only did it not remove any hair, but it left a significant burning sensation on my skin. It has been a week and my skin has been peeling and it hurts even to just put sunscreen on my chin. Terrible product.

The packaging is defective which makes the product ridiculously difficult to use. Other less expensive alternatives exist with functional packaging. Also, the smell is still very chemical-y.

Even though Ive rated 4 stars, I still wouldn't purchase again or recommend to anyone I know. If it performed how it did on my right leg (read experience) as it had for the entire application AND if I hadn't reacted on my 1 underarm as I did, I could accept paying almost double for a product that does the same as others. if you have used hair removing products more then once then you probably know it isn't just the particular smell of Nair, that its just the smell of the ingredient that removes the hair and that every hair remover on the market has that smell. This is the most pleasantly smelling remover by far but you still do get whiffs of that "nair" smell, some people writing these reviews only complaining of the smell must only have used Nair for a short while or this was their first time trying hair remover. With things being as they stand however- I not only need the smell to be an improvement but also the application too. My experience- My first time using this product I applied to my knees and below, privates and under arms. It says it needs longer for coarse hair, so after 8 minutes I did as instructed by directions and wiped with damp cloth and there was still too much. Well I had wiped about half the amount off, so I replaced what I just took off and let sit for another 2 minutes. After everything was washed off, I still had armpit hair, it looked the length abt 2 days after shaving. Which wasn't my goal obviously. Biggest issue was the fact I have a chemical burn on that armpit now though.. it's extremely uncomfortable to put deodorant on almost 2 days later still. and as far as the legs.. let me start by saying the right leg hair was quite a bit longer b/c I have been in a leg brace on that side. After leaving on for 9 minutes the left side was silky smooth, totally bald and felt very moisturized! The right leg however was left with many different hair lengths , from nearly bald to stubble to the length I began with. So I found it interesting about reviews of ppl stating anywhere from dolphin smooth to didnt take anything off. so it seems the shorter hair you begin with the better result you'll get and the length ideal for getting a wax (the longer, the better the wax grips and pulls the follicle out) won't be beneficial.

It burned my face in less than 2 minutes

I really wanted this to work, but instead I got burned. I bought this as a substitute for dermaplaning. I followed the directions and even had it on for under the minimum recommended time. The burning hit hard and fast. It has been over an hour and I am in so much pain. I have ice packs meant for after wisdom tooth removal strapped around my face because of how much it burns.
