Hi, does this sunscreen prevent tanning? Thank you
- Asked by BeautyQuestions
- Official Answer By La Roche-Posay - BEHello there! While Anthelios Melt-In Milk Sunscreen SPF 60 provides broad-spectrum protection against the sun's harmful UVA and UVB rays, no sunscreen can completely prevent tanning. Tanning is the skin's natural response to sun exposure, even with sunscreen use. Our sunscreen helps to significantly reduce the intensity of tanning and minimize sun damage, but it doesn’t block 100% of the sun's rays that cause tanning. Consistent and proper application, along with other sun protection measures like seeking shade and wearing protective clothing, is essential for minimizing both tanning and sun damage. Was this answer helpful to you

Best sunscreen I've ever used!
Having pale white skin, I use daily sunscreen to protect it. What I love about this new discovery is how easy and smooth it is to apply. It feels like a gentle whip cream gliding on to my skin. Unlike other products I've tried, it doesn't leave my skin dry or oily; just right and moisturized. It is ...

It is okay
I chose this sunscreen because I could use it on my face as well as my body. I put it on in the morning and keep well away from my eyes but by the middle of the day my eyes are watering and they sting until I wash it off. Also it makes my face greasy.

Trust the brand, trust the product! 🫡
[I received this product in exchange for my honest review] La Roche-Posay is a brand you can always rely on. This sunscreen seems nice as an everyday spf. I haven't had many sunny days since I received this product but when I have, it's done its job! Doesn't seem to make me look washed out which is amazing.

Sensitive skin friendly!
[I received this product in exchange for my honest review] Very easy to make sure it's soaked into your skin before putting makeup on. It doesn't break me out, which is saying something because a lot of sunscreens do. Good for sensitive skin! Sometimes it can be a little hard to rub in completely.

Great for daily usage!
[I received this product in exchange for my honest review] This sunscreen works amazingly. I love that it is easily absorbed into my skin and it does not leave any white streaks as well. It seems to last throughout the day, I have not tried it in the waters yet but it works great as a daily sunscreen.

Disappointed- Pills under makeup
Three stars because this is a great sun protection brand. I really wanted to love this product, but its a no go. I read the reviews and people were saying that it layers great under makeup so I bought it. It's way too greasy to put on my makeup after I apply the correct amount to get adequate protection. I either have to aggressively blot my face or wait for it to absorb, and ain't nobody got time for that. Frankly I'm not even sure it would absorb. It pills up very easily if I touch my face even lightly. And I try not to touch my face at all once ive set my makeup. I work in the beauty industry so I know what I'm talking about. I'm saving this sunscreen to use on my body and will continuue to search for a high quality sunscreen to wear under my foundation that won't pill up or make me look like a grease ball.
New favorite
[I received this product in exchange for my honest review] I really like the sunscreen. It feels so smooth on my skin and it does not make my make up pill. It does have a little bit of stickiness, but then it dries and goes away. This brand is great for my sensitive skin.
