I found this really easy to use. The tip was just the right width. I used my own polish as a base and painted the tips with the pen. I do not have a steady hand so the tips don't look great in the pics but that is because of my own lack of fine motor skills, not a reflection of the product! I will continue to use this to do my own French manicures at home but will have my boyfriend do my tips because he has a much steadier hand 🙂 One pic shows my nails just with the base coat, the others with the tips using the mani marker. This review was of a free product and I was not paid fir my honest review.

I tried the Mani Marker Bright White Easy Nail Art Pen and had mixed results. On the positive side, the pen glides on very easily and the color is bright and vibrant, which makes it great for detailed nail art and designs. However, the biggest downside is that it tends to flake off fairly quickly. Even when I applied a top coat to try to seal the design, it still didn't last very long. It works well for quick or temporary designs, but if you're looking for something long-lasting, this may not hold up as well.

I'm seriously not a complainer. Even with products I don't love, there is something I like about them. Not with this one. I shook the pen many times and nothing came out. I tried again, pressing it on paper to get it flowing. What eventually came out had the consistency of dried up white-out. It didn't go on my nails smoothly and looked blotchy, even with a second application. And then it stopped working before I got to my other hand. Sorry, I wouldn't buy again without a reformulation.

I wasn't very optimistic about trying this from all my teenage years of trying to do my own French manicure with the products on the market back then without much success. I was greatly surprised! The marker does take a bit to get the polish down to the tip upon first activation. It was a great size to hold in the hand for use. The initial strokes came out flawlessly - it glided so smoothly over the base polish and was so easy to control the line. Unfortunately, I made a few mistakes and went back to try to fix them and the polish sort of scraped off around the tip of those subsequent marks? If that's the best way to describe it. It also was quite opaque but in a few places I felt like it was a bit to see through and went back to try to put a second coat - that was the biggest mistake. It almost caused the previous polish to flake up if that makes sense. You can see the non smooth surface in my photos. If you get your design on the first go while it's all still wet and fresh - perfect. If you don't? I wouldn't suggest trying to add another layer. I tend to use gel polish so I was a bit naive and bumped my pinky as I was taking my photo and it got a little smudge on the French line. I also had great first lines but with the second coat it got a bit disastrous and my lines got thicker than I wanted. But I think on subsequent uses I'll have much better success! It would be great for small detail designs like dots or snowflakes etc.

Did not work on nails

I was really excited to try this product but could not get it to come out onto my nails. It did work on cardboard as well as my skin because i tried that thinking something was wrong with my mail. I primed the tip for over 2 minutes as it was similar to cuticle oil applicators I have. I really wanted this to work for. Bummer!
