Used to be softer
I've been using this eyeliner for years, at least since 2014. It's the only eyeliner I like, and I usually love it. However, these past few months (from March, maybe February), the formula has become harder and dull. I love a dramatic winged eyeliner, but it became hard to achieve the desired effect...

Meh
I ordered this because it appears Essence pulled my preferred eyeliner pencil from the market, why I don't really know, but I'm guessing because the blue & purple shades caused pink eye. Not only me, either. I bought them for a coworker and the same thing happened to her! I need to replace the black shade, which was super and didn't cause any issues at all, so I bought this blue shade to try on my upper water line. The other pencil lasts all day long and while this one did too, the shade just wasn't vivid enough. You'd think you were applying a grayish shade, so if that's what you want, you'll love it! For me, just meh.
difficult to apply
it is nice how you are able to twist it to get the eyeliner out as opposed to sharpening it; however, it breaks off if you press too hard, and the reason why i had to press hard was so the eyeliner could actually show up. i find that the stay and play black eyeliner (also from essence) is easier to apply and builds up easily with one/two layers (while with this one, you have to constantly go over it if you want it to appear visible). this eyeliner would be good for someone who wants a subtle look, but as i mentioned before, it is pretty difficult to build up, which is why i would not recommend this for someone who wants a more intense eyeliner

Definitely does not disappoint
Talk about long lasting! For this price I was definitely not disappointed in this eyeliner! I will keep buying it again!

I love how smoothly this product glides on. However, I have hooded eyes and this product transfers to my upper eyelid very quickly, even after setting with a powder. Wanted to love it for the price, but i dont.
