I love J.Cat products :) I can't believe how low the prices are. It's a shame to see this lip plumping gloss has such low reviews. It does an excellent job at plumping. Yes, it does burn, but I think most plumpers do! This is no where near as painful as Polity Society's lip plumping oil gloss. This is there but its not too bad. My favorite part about this gloss is how shimmery it is! I also use their "Rock 'n' Glitz Liquid Eyeliner" and both products have the perfect amount of glitter :) This product it lovely by itself, but perfect on top of a balm or any other product. I recommend! I got the color Lip Surge and am just about to order a couple more while its on sale!
The COLORS are WOW! The consequences are BRUTAL!!
3 STARS bc I hope it can influence JCAT to remove the plumping ingredients. The colors are perfection. They nailed purple - no one knows how to do purple, but JCAT does! It's purple, NOT pink or red. It's so painful though. Pls make w/o plumpers.
Mixed feelings
The good: - I got this in the shade Lip Surge. It looks bold in the swatch but is pretty similar to my natural lip color, only more warm pink and glittery. - The applicator is big and picks up the right amount of gloss, I don't have to re-dip to cover my lips. - The glitter isn't chunky and I didn't notice it when rubbing my lips together. The bad: - This made me realize I don't like plumping/cooling glosses lol It tingled for 30 minutes after applying and then felt comfortable on the lips. It doesn't feel moisturizing but isn't thin and drying either.
Burns! It burns!
I love a good lip plumping gloss. I debated over which color to buy (I always think I'm buying a new shade then it ends up being disastrously similar to others). The product went on smoothly and had a glittery appearance. However, it very quickly felt like a million stings- a burning sensation that took a while to disappear even after I wiped it off. I'm used to the tingling effect of other plumping glosses and this was NOT that. There's no way I could wear this. Maybe it's just my own skin's reaction to an ingredient but I've never had this problem before. Unfortunately, I can't recommend this. The color itself was 'kiss quench' and was a pink shade with orange tones. Some of the glitter remained after I rubbed it off.
