Begin by applying 1 coat of ORLY Bonder Basecoat and 2 coats of any ORLY Nail Color (ORLY suggests using Liquid Vinyl as your base color to achieve a stunning Kick Glass nail look). this polish is beautiful but definitely is more of an advance application polish. I'd reccomend 2 THIN coats over a base color (black is super pretty and makes the purplish base glow) for easiest application. the effect is beautiful, but the flakies require some manipulation
Pretty, but use a topcoat between layers!
I used a layer of blurple polish, let it dry for a couple of hours and then swiped this stuff on. I had about 3 swipes to get the flakies intact where I wanted them before my polish started sliding off. This is my first application so I'll get the hang of it. I haven't done my nails in ages so I feel like a novice right now, lol. This color is fun. The base color is a milky white with pink shimmer. The flakes are blue, green and purple holo. It's not very interesting on it's own.

This went on great and is literally just as pictured! I see some other reviews saying that it's hard to manage the placement of the pieces; I did have to maneuver them a bit, but I had very little trouble! If I can do it as a nail-polish newbie with extremely shaky hands, then y'all can too! :) One note is to keep in mind how purple the glaze is, though. In my photo, I've layered it over a forest green polish, and the result is a definite dark blue. All in all, I love this and absolutely recommend it! I can't wait to try it with other colors!
