I received this J'adore Dior solid perfume as a complimentary sample. I love exploring new scents and was especially excited to try this solid perfume as I have never used one before. First off, the packaging is cute. The perfume comes in a twist up gold tube, similar to a lipstick tube. It is gold ...and the top locks closed very securely. It is very intriguing as it does not look like a typical perfume bottle at all. The perfume has a jelly texture and had gold flakes throughout the clear stick. You can apply it by sliding it directly onto your skin, wherever you would like to add scent. It felt cool and wet to the touch but it dried very quickly. The gold flakes don't necessarily appear much on your skin, but it does look pretty inside of the solid stick. My skin did not show any signs of use other than the smell. It didn't cause any irritation or adverse effects on my skin either. The scent is really appealing. The description says it is floral, but it is a bit hard to pin the exact essence. I would say it is not fruity or sweet and is more of a mature perfume for a girls night out or date night. The scent is full bodied and bold. Ultimately though, my favorite factor was the weight of the tube. It is so light, so travel friendly, and does not take any space. You could even carry it if you want to freshen up later in the day even though the scent does last. Unlike most perfumes, this is also impossible to shatter since it isn't made of glass and can't spill as it is not liquid. For the price point, I think it is fair considering it offers a lot of conveniences. However, I would have to see how long it actually lasts as I haven't ever used a jelly perfume before to honestly evaluate this. Overall, I do recommend this perfume!
