Pretty & perfect for spring - just not a fan of st

I found these nails by impress (under the Kiss brand) so pretty, especially with spring now here. With the shimmery lavender base & the 3d flowers & rhinestones, it is quintessential spring nail art. There were mostly shimmery lavender nails but what was included with some of the accent nails was bo...th designs so you can mix & match (which i did) if desired. I already prefer almond nails, & these were that, with a short medium length, so they're already ticking off boxes for press on nails i enjoy. The design stayed as perfect as the day i applied them, so it's great that you can wear these nails & the design quality is superb! Included are the nails, with the tabs labeling the number at the bottom relatively clearly to see the nail size (a great perk!), a cuticle stick, a super mini file attached to a card & an alcohol pad to clean & dehydrate the nails before application. For press on nail newbies (for both glue or sticky tab nails), those are great items to have included with affordable press ons. Unfortunately, I'm just not a fan of press on nails with the sticky adhesive on them already versus applying glue, which these were. Press ons with the adhesive on them have their perks & are made for a specific group of people- I'm just not in that group. I think they are perfect for people just trying out press on nails & aren't sure if they like them, or for those wanting very temporary nails (like for a day or two for a specialoccasion), as gluing them on require commitment. Maybe for people with nail glue allergies (i don't know of those with glue allergies can apply press ons with the sticky tabs, but its a possibility). I am in the group of customers that are comfortable with press on nails, are okay with having them on for at least a week, work a job that allows their employees to express themselves with their hair, makeup, nails, etc without judgement, & don't just do my nails for special occasions. I prefer the length/shape of these press ons as I can usually function throughout my day with little to no issues, including lifting boxes/bags, setting up supplies, writing with a pen, & typing on a computer/laptop. While the sizing wasn't the easiest, as I did not think they universally can fit a variety of nails in size (especially if you have a longer nail bed), I got them to fit my nails, but nothing was perfect- i had to file my nails a bit to fit the the "nail bed" shape of the nail & still some of my natural nail showed through on the sides on some of the nails (I noticed my ring fingers especially as I think I was somewhat between sizes), despite meticulously sizing my natural nails to the ones included before final application. To me, the sizes included are not equivalent to the glue-on nails by Kiss, as Impress are Kiss branded nails, so you would have to size them before application, while with glue ons by Kiss, I tended to use the same sizes across the board. Unfortunately the only reason I gave this set 3 stars was mainly the pretty design & that sticky tab nails suit certain customers, so I can't knock the idea of them just because they failed me. I opted to try the sticky adhesive for a couple of days before opting to remove them & using nail glue as they never fully felt like they were attached unless glue was applied; i would feel like one scratch of my arm or picking up a box would yank the nail off even though the sticky tab on the nail is relatively strong. The tab is super sticky so the nails in a sense stay on but can leave the residue behind (a pain to deal with) upon removal. I got a couple more days out of them before removing them completely, especially since my index fingers showed signs of lifting at the base, even after applying glue. They're guaranteed up to 10 days (according to the website), since sticky tab nails are more temporary than glued on nails. But the slight uncomfortability of them feeling like they were gonna pop off was the most bothersome. With sticky tabs you have a choice & with some "elbow grease" can remove them with minimal to no damage to the natural nail. I just felt like they hindered me in completing daily tasks & would rather have glue press on nails. I'm glad I gave gluing them on a chance as i really liked these nails & if they were a press on where you HAD to glue them on, i would purchase them. I prefer the option of having sticky tabs & glue included, and choose glue to use. But at least there are press on nail options available for multiple customers. These nails were just not the ones for me.
