Hydrating, Softening Hair Treatment

I was sent this product complementary in exchange for my honest review. My hair feels soft after use but my hair is pretty soft to begin with so I can't say whether it would or wouldn't work better for tough, straw-like hair. I would say it delivers as far as hydration goes. My hair hasn't been stat...icky yet, which is nice because it usually is during wintertime. I like the thickness of the cream. I wasn't crazy about the smell. Reminded me of cheap beauty/body products, like a very fake flowery scent. I was confused on what exactly this product is though. Is it a treatment, as it says on the label or is it a conditioner. I was unsure if this was something you use between shampoo & conditioner or after. Or is it a substitute to conditioner. All it instructed was to use on shampooed hair. That could mean after washing with shampoo or added to hair with shampoo already in it. One huge pro I have for this product is that it is a really good detangler. Better than a lot of conditioners I've used. My hair is really long, all the way down past my waist. It had been in a braid for a couple days prior to using this product. I took the braid out & hopped in the shower, forgetting to brush it first. I normally have to brush my hair before shampooing or it will be a huge snarled mess. But even though the slept-in braid made my mid hair knotted/matted in the back and the shampooing process had completely tangled the ends, it still detangled the whole length of my hair from root to tip with just one application. I normally have to condition my hair 2-3 times to make it smooth and get all the tangles out. So that was very impressive. My fingers ran through easily without pulling, stretching, or breaking the hair. I feel like this product would do better if marketed as a conditioner that detangles and hydrates. I'd definitely recommend it to others for that. I would not recommend it as a specialized hair treatment or hair softener.
