Start at the base of lashes and wiggle brush up to the tip of lashes. Repeat to build. To apply to lower lashes, hold wand vertically. Do not pump brush in container - this adds air that can dry out the mascara. To prevent clumping, let mascara dry between coats. Remove with your favourite Clinique eye makeup remover.

My lashes look stringy
My lashes look stringy and the applicator actually hurts. Its this strange large hard plastic and it's not easy to get the whole lash from root to tip.

I love this mascara! I have blonde hair, so I don't have the darkest lashes to begin with. Not to mention I also need volume and length. THIS MASCARA gives me everything. I end up with longer, darker, full lashes. NO clumps! The brush separates lashes. Even though it's not waterproof, I don't have a problem with raccoon eyes and it doesn't flake below my eyes either. It's pretty easy to remove at night (I use Clinique's liquid makeup remover - in a lavender bottle). I truly LOVE this mascara! Excellent purchase, I would purchase it again, and I would recommend it.
