Smells like a dream but pulls a disappearing act

After smelling a sample in a magazine, I had to have this so I bought it as my birthday present to myself. As soon as I spritzed it, I squealed with joy. I usually do half a spritz behind each ear and one on my wrist, which I then tap on my other wrist. I like to smell my own perfume but don't want ...to be *that* person, who can be smelled before they even enter a room, especially as so many people have scent sensitivities (btw, I get headaches from a lot of perfumes but do not from this). As the day went on, I noticed I couldn't smell it, but I know scent fatigue happens and thought it must be me. At dinner, I excitedly leaned in to have my family smell my new perfume, but no one could smell it. The next day, I applied a full spritz behind each ear and on both wrists, but again, within a few hours, I couldn't smell it and neither could anyone else. If they improve the longevity, this is a 5 star scent. Neither too floral nor too sweet, not too powdery or too musky. It's beautifully balanced and in a clean minimalist bottle, as you'd expect from such a classic company. I still wear it but apply it with a heavier hand than I do with most perfumes, to try to keep it a little noticeable as the day goes on, but it is disappointing to spend this much when drugstore perfumes last much longer and cost 1/3 the price. I recommend it if, like me, you've fallen in love with the scent, but go in knowing, like most dreams, it ends far too quickly.
