 Goddess Amber Vanilla Eau de Parfum Intense

I almost didn't try this because, to me, each Goddess flanker seemed to get a little worse than the last. I'm glad I gave this one a chance because it's actually what I had hoped Goddess Eau de Parfum Intense would smell like. The original Intense was a disappointment for me. The earthy patchouli base and sharp, almost medicinal lavender essence top note made it incredibly unpleasant to my nose. Amber Vanilla brings the fragrance back closer to the original. The earthy patchouli base has been replaced with a rich amber accord that is softer and more inviting. It still opens with lavender essence, but the added maple syrup accord sweetens and softens it, toning down much of the medicinal edge. I can still catch an occasional whiff of that sharp lavender, especially on my watch and bracelets where the fragrance tends to build up, but it no longer dominates. There's also a subtle but noticeable change in the vanilla accord. One of the original quartet of vanillas—the smoky vanilla wood (vanilla SFE)—has been replaced with a caramelized roasted vanilla. Both add depth and richness, but instead of leaning aromatic and woody, this version is sweeter, warmer, and cozier. The very slight smokiness gives the vanilla a grown-up, velvety quality. Longevity is respectable, lasting about five hours on my skin. Its warm, cozy character isn't overly heavy, so I think it could easily be worn year-round. Personally, I think it will be especially beautiful on cooler summer evenings and throughout the fall and winter. If you wanted Goddess Eau de Parfum Intense to be warmer, smoother, and less harsh, Amber Vanilla is well worth trying.

Its like Goddess Parfum and Roma Extradose had a baby. Different enough from its sister scents, but still a Goddess at its core. I absolutely love it and cant wait to wear it with colder weather!!
