Prep: Exfoliate using a gentle scrub 24 hours before tanning. Moisturize dry areas such as hands, feet, knees, ankles and elbows prior to application.
Apply: Spray liberally onto dry skin, saturating the skin. Blend lightly with a tanning mitt using large circular motions from head to toe, lightly covering hands, elbows and feet last. Thoroughly wash hands after use.
Maintain: Exfoliate and moisturize skin regularly to maintain an even, luminous glow.

don't waste your money
I recently bought this product hoping it would be good, I usually use their express water spray, but this applicator was more like a jet stream instead of a mist. The spray was too strong and left the tan very streaky.

I've been self tanning every week for the past 6 years and I've pretty much tried a lot of the self tanners out there and I think this is one of my favorites. It gives you great color, I don't find it sticky at all, it smells good, is easy to use and the best part is that it goes on clear so no stains on your clothes and sheets. Some of the reviews talked about it just squirting out which I do know what they were talking about b/c when I first got this tanner it did do that but I think they changed up the can b/c I don't feel like it does that anymore and even when it did if you just sprayed it on your mitt it worked just fine but I don't have that problem with it anymore. This is one that continues to be in my rotation.

I've used a LOT of self tanners - this is the worst one I've ever used. First of all, the bottle barely had enough for a single application. It does NOT dry. The ONLY color I got was on my knees and feet (despite avoiding my feet during application).. I've never disliked a self tanner more. I'm a skilled self tanner, this wasn't a user error. DONT DO IT!
Beautiful tan but SO STICKY!
Gives great even color. Lasts close to 1 week, even longer if I use their tanning drops a few days after this. My biggest gripe is it is soooo sticky! Def have to do it on a day you're home. Doesn't stain clothes at least, just feels gross. I wash it off after ~4hours as I hate how it feels. I've rebought this several times as the color always comes out even and lasts a while. I'd say it gives a medium color, but if you use their drops a couple days after this application it builds beautifully. Also doesn't leave a lingering fake tan smell on your skin for days like many other products do.
